I think this movie is criminally underrated & more clever than people give it credit for. Sure, it was silly in parts but still an entertaining action parody that contained an assload of good action despite that. It's better than these god awful parody movies as well as 99% of the action movies we get in this day & age.
I wonder if Ripper's vest was inspired by Bennett? It had to have been an influence somehow.
"Well I'm sorry to disappoint you but you're gonna live to enjoy all the glorious fruits life has got to offer - acne, shaving, premature ejaculation...and your first divorce."

This film's biggest problem was that it had to follow Terminator 2. Audiences wanted more of the same- not a parody of Arnold's iconic image.
But the kid was also pretty annoying. I remember being pretty bummed out about this film on opening night. There's a lot of things I enjoy about it now, but it's not one I revisit very often.

Agreed, probably his most underrated flick, next to Terminator 3.

Very underrated movie; a biting satire of action movie cliches and the film industry in general. I hate that it bombed so bad.

People were expecting something of T2 caliber & as much as I like LAH, it wasn't on par with T2. T2 is one of Arnold's best roles & it's hard to top it...although I do prefer The Terminator to T2.

One of my favorite parts is when Arnold comes home, fires a few rounds into the closet door, opens it, and a dead ninja wrapped in rope and machineguns falls out.
"Dere's always a guy in deere."
Why can't that happen every time I come home?
