That's funny, cos Clapton scored Lethal Weapon, so if he does this one, it'll be another Mel film on his CV. Not too sure about this one. Even with Campbell at the helm again, will it be as good as the classic mini-series? And who would take Joanne Whalley's role?

This is £8 in HMV and WH Smiths at the moment for anyone interested. I look forward to watching it.
The cover is clearly a reverse of that photo in the first post. It's driving me mad!

As I have said to several people before, I had hoped this announcement was an elaborate Situationist prank so that at the first press junket Martin Campbell could whip out a couple of bars of enriched plutonium and zap that illiterate knuckle-scraping fuck Gibson in a blinding flash and cloud of wispy blue smoke.
I have actually read the script for this piece of unnecessary shit. It's too depressing to write about in detail, but that plastic paddy Monahan has basically replaced every great line, plot twist and piece of heavy symbolism with constant reference to this stupid "Irish-American" culture that is so fashionable right now. Anyone who thinks that Boston bears any resemblance to Ireland needs to spend a wet fortnight in a caravan in Limerick near some sausage-eating super-langers with their pitchfork skills and fucked-up Ford Granadas.
Between this, the Robocop remake, and continuing debasement of the Terminator legacy, I can only put my hopes for the future of Hollywood in the providence of the San Andreas Fault.
