Dammit how could I not put McQuade on the list? I should have my head examined for that.

I can't choose! But I know that Blade Runner would make it every time.
No one has mentioned it in their lists yet, for shame!

Surely, you're talking about the theatrical cut and not Ridley Scott's final cuts that got released a couple years ago? I wouldn't be so sure. I've seen all three versions, and I've seen the Director's Cut more than once, and I've never been able to develop any real enthusiasm for it. It has an impressive production design and it touches on a couple of intriguing philosophical issues, but other than that I don't really see the big deal. The only thing I truly love about it is Vangelis' score.

1. Back To The Future 2. Rocky 3. Star Wars (A New Hope) 4. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 5. Clerks
Lots of good picks here. The Killer, Alien, and lots of others that were mentioned are some of my favorites as well. Of course it should go without saying that Commando is one of those movies!

I am sure to be the subject of great ridicule here for this, but I think that Ridley Scott's Legend would make my top film list. It's definitely one of Tom Cruise's best roles, Tim Curry plays the best devil in all cinema, Mia Sara is wicked hot, and Tangerine Dream's soundtrack sounds like it was produced 100 years into the future, and brought back for us heathens to have a glimpse. This film is just too god damn endearing and nostalgic not to be added to my list.

Legend is a pretty sweet movie. I haven't seen it for awhile but have always thought it was pretty cool.

Legend isn't my cup of tea thematically, but I do love Tangerine Dream's score for the film and was delighted to find it on CD last year. I know it was forced on the film by the studio but I don't care. Mia Sara was awfully young when she made that movie, much younger than she looked.
