Taglines: The government gave him a raw deal. Nobody gives him a raw deal.
Nobody gives him a Raw Deal.
His trigger has all the answers.
The system gave him a raw deal. Nobody gives him a raw deal.Schwarzenegger plays a former FBI agent turned small town sheriff(briefly) that infiltrates the mafia to get revenge for the late Darren McGavin. I really enjoyed this movie. It's often overlooked when compared to Arnold's other greats but this belongs amongst them. Arnold blows a good bit of guys away, busts out some one-liners, & has some great shootouts. After gearing up for the final showdown, he even looks at himself in the mirror to make sure he's ready to rock. It's a good flick with plenty of action. Thomas Rosales Jr returns only to die again at Arnold's hands. His head doesn't explode nor does he lose a limb...but he does lose his life. Peter Kent gets shot & dies hilariously as does the legendary Sven-Ole Thorsen. Robert Davi also co-stars as a one of the higher tier henchmen. His chemistry with Arnold is pretty good. It's nice to see both of them cruising around. Ed Lauter also makes an appearance but he doesn't pay back any debts that he owes, dude. His wife likes to drink, bake, & throw cakes with "SHIT" written on them in icing. I don't think I've ever seen a movie where a guy gets a bowl of candy poured on him after he gets killed. I wonder if Arnold improvised there or not? Probably. Definitely worth a watch & if you're hardcore into Arnold(that's why we're all here isn't it?), then it's worth a purchase. Baker: Joseph P. Brenner... what's the P stand for? Kaminsky: Pussy.

"You should not drink and bake." One of my top Schwarzenegger films for sure--so ridiculous that I actually love it. It's chock full of 80s cheese and has two climax shootouts--something not very common with 80s action films, as far as I know. One thing that bugs me about this film is that practically everyone Arnold fights gets a punch on him, then he throws them into a wall. I dont know why that pisses me off, but I guess its because I'm used to him tearing a new ass for everyone that comes within 5 feet of him in his usual movies.

What about the part where he's cruising to 'I can't get no satisfaction' while firing an oozie ;D

I saw Real Deal recently and I liked it. I was never sure if the film looked that good so I avoided it for a little while then I bought it on DVD.

Ever notice that Kaminsky(Arnold) keeps his weight set outside. Doesn't worry about anyone stealing it because nobody can lift it Best part of Raw deal is the line "So you wanna be a witness.... witness this"

I never knew there was a novelization of Raw Deal until I found it at a bookstore yesterday. I'll scan it one of these days.

Classic Arnold movie with lots of fine action and funny moments. And by the way, what's the p stand for? The main theme is bad ass.

Watched Raw Deal again this weekend and its a great action film, but it seems a bit "underrated" when comparing it to other Arnold movies of the 80's.
Not sure why, but one thing is for sure and that is that this movie rocks!

It's just a straight up fun action flick that's pretty damn ridiculous in every aspect. It's still Arnold's most underrated movie, in my opinion.
And it has Ed Lauter in it. 'Nuff said.
