In the spirit of this most excellent film, my bro and I have decided to host a yearly Commando party! Believe me, we both know plenty of people who love it enough to show up. Thanks for the warm welcome too! ;D

Oh, and for the record...Rae Dawn Chong was a hottie back then. Also, who is that massively bazoomed chick in the hotel during the Matrix/Cooke fight? Yum...

We're from Tennessee. I have the distinction of being one of a few people in this state, let alone this country, who can quote Commando from beginning to end. I even know every single sound effect, grunt, musical interlude, etc.
I would say that's a sad fact, but it's Commando, baby, and there's nothing sad about having Commando knowledge.

I've never seen a forum take to 'noobs' so quickly! Much appreciated too! You know how it is with some forums, unless you've posted 100+ times, they just ignore or flame you. Seriously guys, thanks, and I look forward to coming back here more often.

Seriously guys, thanks, and I look forward to coming back here more often. Back in the day on the old board, we were kind of assholes but I think we've all matured with age. That & we're all fans of Commando so there's no need to ignore flame anyone...unless they get out of hand & start trouble themselves. That's a rarity around here though. Seems like a great place. I look forward to making a home here. It's a bit dead at the moment but with the return of the CF website, we're hoping that it livens up again & will be just like old times!

If it livens up more than it already is, I'll get to use the "it's gotten a little crowded, now" pun.

Hey, fellas. I'm glad I'm back and I'd be lying if I said it isn't a great feeling seeing the board again. But it is.
Just like old times!

I guess introductions are in order. I am the artist formerly known as "Arius" a.k.a. Andrew LeRoy. I created Commando Fans in 2004 because I was bored as shit at college and it gave me a small side project to keep myself busy. Commando Fans History:The first site was hosted on Geocities.com and only lasted about two weeks before I moved it to a dedicated server. This was the first design: web.archive.org/web/20041112103319/http://www.commandofans.com/It's purely text and was pretty crappy-looking. I then moved on to a weird tab-based site that isn't worth mentioning. After that, the site started resembling the current design: web.archive.org/web/20051223131356/http://www.commandofans.com/Then I decided to go back to tabs (fuck knows why): web.archive.org/web/20060614124233/http://www.commandofans.com/I then tried a Joomla template that ended up being a pain in the ass. Finally, sometime in 2007 we moved to the current design. I'll be working on a new design in the near future.

That was my first photoshop for the site. It was inspired by Vernon's hilarious picture:
