I miss the days of huge dudes destroying shit in over the top ways. I'm most sick of watching Hollywood take some little wuss like Gerard Butler or Brad Pitt and make him work out until he is slightly muscular. I think we need a hulking brute to blow some shit to vapor. I think Brock Lesnar could prove to be a great villain or henchman in such a film. I don't actually know about casting him as the hero, but there is only one way to find out.

To be honest I think Chuck Liddell would make for a pretty kickass action star to hold a gun at waist-height. He looks like an ex-SWAT officer--that could work for a Seagal-esque script. Then there's slowly-rising action star Julien Greaux, a friend of Jean-Claude Van Damme. Maybe if he had a 5-o'clock shadow, I'd appreciate him in an action film. But the "pretty boy" look he has now doesn't really make me wanna see him in a Bloodsport knock-off or anything.

This guy has what it takes to be an action hero. It's no surprise, with his dad being Sonny Corleone . Batista may be 40 now, but with that physique and mean-as-hell look, he could still cut it as an action man and I could picture him doing some hard 'R' rated movies which would make The Rock's work look like a schoolgirls' play.

Judge Reinhold should have been an action star. Just for his name alone! "Nobody messes with...THE JUDGE!"

Judge Reinhold should have been an action star. Just for his name alone! "Nobody messes with...THE JUDGE!" If he got pumped up, Judge would have been great. I'll never forget Billy Rosewood's Rambo and Cobra posters in his bedroom in Beverly Hills Cop II. Legend. Josh Brolin would make another top action man. He's more the rugged, grizzled, hardened type, along the lines of a young Nick Nolte. He was superb in No Country For Old Men and was rumoured at one point to play a Terminator in the next film featuring Christian Bale.

Liam Neeson is one who could be a good action star. He's been down that route with a few flicks like Next of Kin and Darkman. However his latest film Taken, he's a total badass in it. He kicks serious ass in this film. It's a really decent old school action film, and Neeson has a bit of the early Seagal about him, with added acting ability of course. After Taken, I'd really like to see Neeson do a few more straight up action flicks.

I would say the Benicio Del Toro should get into some more action. Like all great early action stars he's ugly as sin. Get him to play Charles Bronson types and he'll knock it out of the park. He was great in the very 'First Blood'-like "The Hunted" and he could play a hero or a villain equally well.

That Bastista guy's veins are truly repulsive!
With all the roids that fella must have done, the resulting winkie shrinkage would make him useless in love scenes. His gun would be his penis. Aaaah yeeah.
I think Wanderlei Silva would make a great villain. He probably wouldn't do it though. He is waaay too busy stepping on necks.

You mean this guy, right? He looks like one bad-assed mofo to me! I reckon this guy would be a decent action hero. He has the look down to a tee.

I would say Jeremy Renner. He was great in "28 Weeks Later" as Doyle and was really good as Brian Gamble in "S.W.A.T." He has a new action film coming out called "The Hurt Locker". Looks like a military film. I might not see it. I don't really like those kind of films. Jeremy as "Doyle" Jeremy as "Brian Gamble":

How about Craig Fairbrass? He was the 'soccer' henchman in Cliffhanger but I reckon he would make a decent action star.
Thats him in my avatar.

Lately, he's been playing bad guys in British thrillers like Rise Of The Foot Soldier and The Bank Job, but he did a movie in the '90s called Beyond Bedlam. Never watched it, but on the cover, he was holding a piece, so it might have been an action film where he was a goodie for a change. When Cliffhanger came out in '93, one reviewer said that he would be 'the next Stallone.' ;D This guy should have been an action hero back in the '80s IMHO. HE should have been the next Stallone. Ken Wahl was in The Wanderers, the Jim Glickenhaus actioner The Soldier and the TV series Wiseguy. If he was pumped up a bit more, he would have been fucking great back in the day.

I saw the second Scorpion King movie and thought that UFC fighter Randy Couture, who played the villain, was awesome. He should definitly be an action hero!
