That whole ordeal was really ridiculous. Arius is a good webmaster. He's always very prompt & on the ball when it comes to adding content to a site or fixing a site issue. He's also a great site designer. Nothing ever too flashy(flashy's gay) but displayed to get all of the content across. I think that's what we lacked when we came up with the Action Alliance idea. We had some great thoughts & ideas but our webmastering/designing skills aren't that great. Cohaagen was the leader of the pack when it came to all of that. Although I help webmaster a site, I'm not that great when it comes to site design. I'm very poor at that due to my limited knowledge of HTML. That's why I love Microsoft Frontpage. The only place I know where to advertise is IMDb. It's a mixed bag there because we either get a few good posters or a few trolls. I plugged the board in a post last night about someone praising the director's cut DVD. He even gave a shoutout to Commandofans.com. RIP? www.imdb.com/title/tt0088944/board/nest/126991586?p=1

I don`t post too often now but I`d thought I`d chip in my two cents. What everyone`s said so far is on the ball as to why the board`s so damn quiet. What I think it comes down to is topics have been pretty much discussed to death. The IMDB thing` s a good idea, but then again with most new members they post twice then fuck off into oblivion never to been seen again. Calling Tim Capello?

Well, I still consider myself new blood, and I haven't really lost any interest at all. I can see that from a more experienced perspective it may seem like a terrible drought, but I think at least a few good posters are bound to sign up soon.
I guess this means I should immediately begin work on some shitty Microsoft Paint captures of my favorite action movie scenes.

Yeah i feel the same the threads have been disscussed alot, im on here alot but dont seem to post anything to exciting, i really enjoy it on this board and hope we can come up with some new threads in which people can post on, as new movies come out then theres something new to disscuss. I really think theres alot of great members of Action Alliance and we need to keep this place alive.
I signed up to Commandofans in 2006 and thought it was great that i had found somewhere to disscuss Commando and other great action movies. I really wish it was the same as then and we had all the old members back.

I've placed our link on the Misc. section of the Commando page on IMDb. Well, submitted it anyway. Hopefully they'll put it up. At least this thread has stirred up some activity & thoughts. Nice to see you guys sharing your ideas.

Well, for me at least, I have no time to post. My best period on Commandofans was when I could post at work! I now have 260 cases instead of 10, so daytime posting is a no-no.
I am rarely at home, because I work till 7, go boxing for 1.5 hours most nights, get home, eat, rub my hairy length and get into my rubber box for 8 hrs snooze time.
I am also now engaged, would you believe, and am getting married in 4 months! Any time I do have is spent arranging the big day, dealing with Turkish bureaucracy and trying on skimpy bridesmaids' dresses.
So my absence isn't because it is shit here (of course it isn't) but because I am simply not around.
As for the other old admins, PAS has a baby, LC is travelling the world, Cohaagen is probably on E-Wing, and El Prez is definitely awol for ever. No idea about Doodoo. He probably just gave up when most others did.
Arius was efficient, but let's not put on the rose tinted specs! He drove lots of people away with his attitude. The real reason it was so big then was because 80s action was being discussed everywhere else as well, and we did it best. Now, it is not as big a topic on random people's chat list.
Anyway, I will always come back and see how things are going, when I get the chance.
Love you!

Nice one Kimble, hopefully that will draw the attention of some new blood and new ideas, have you any idea how many visits Commandofans has?, is there any sort of counter??. I'm sure there will be alot of new members on the way, and I'm staying put for sure. Congrats on the engagement Beeste and hope everything goes to plan on the big day

I think there's been more posts here since this topic started than ever before Congratulations on the engagement Will! I bet it was the laser-eye glare that sealed it.

Bumping this up to the top.
Now that CF is back, I hope the name recognition will help in livening up this joint!
