I came across the entire Dirty Harry 6-disc box with the badge and everything at my local Costco. The thing's about as big as a fucking Encyclopedia when you hold it. I've found my new bible.

After watching all five movies, I pretty much like them in chronological order. Not a crap entry in the entire series. Very solid. If the villains in The Enforcer were more memorable, I'd like it more than Magnum Force. I loved the idea of vigilante cops. Too bad Felton Perry bit the big one before he joined OCP.
I thought the farting dog in Sudden Impact was lame.

I've only seen them once each, but I would say I enjoyed them thuswise: The Enforcer (The first is the best obviously but I really enjoyed this one) Dirty Harry Magnum Force The Dead Pool Sudden Impact (Great first half but lame second. Plus Sondra Locke. And Pat Hingle!)
The new set looks good, but the old set will do me for now.

The original is of course the best. Magnum Force was an excellent sequel. As was The Enforcer. Sudden Impact is highly enjoyable due to it's load of action and Clint is behind the camera. The Dead Pool was a fun imaginative way to end the series.
I'm gonna try and get the awesome box set sometime soon.

I myself have a hard time choosing favorites. The first DH is without a doubt the greatest, but Magnum Force and Sudden Impact really close. Best part of Sudden Impact (besides the diner scene) is when Callahan gives the speech about shit to the criminal in the elevator. Sheer brilliance.
...which brings me to a question: the gun Clint had in Sudden Impact seemed too small to be a Wildey Magnum--or was it just a smaller version of Wildey?

I found the novelization of Sudden Impact at a Goodwill sometime last week. Nice find. I've got the novelizations of the first two movies. The back cover of "Dirty Harry" is just Scorpio's letter to the city.

He's still a creep in Sudden Impact but is more clean cut.

The Sudden Impact video poster was the coolest thing in the world at the time. That and BMX Bandits at the cinema.

Well, when I see a naked man chasing a woman with a butcher knife and a hard-on, I assume he's not out collecting for the Red Cross. That is always edited out on Television, pisses me off every time. Harry had a good point!!!! I love almost every scene in DH its probably Clints best action film. taking out the creep with a mouth full of hot dog is great. HALFT! BANG!!!!!
