Fantastic heavy metal band from the late '80s and early '90s formed by John Sykes, the axe legend who transformed Whitesnake, helping in the creation of the classic 1987. vimeo.com/46198296vimeo.com/46535707

Sykes is highly underrated. he had a killer run with Thin Lizzy imo.
this Blue Murder shit has been seriously lacking in my life.

He gave Whitesnake a much needed kick up the backside as they were beginning to sound dated by still having that bluesy Bad Company-ish sound. Sykes was a true metal player with a uniquely powerful guitar tone and his solos were just amazing. Coverdale made a huge mistake laying him off after 1987 and Whitesnake's next album was disappointing as it wasn't as ballsy or aggressive as '87. Slip Of The Tongue despite one or two good tunes should have been more a KISS or Poison album.
At least with Blue Murder, we had some no-nonsense, honest-to-goodness, trailblazing heavy metal with some bearable ballads thrown in, too. They should re-form again one day and maybe they could play a support slot to the new look Thin Lizzy.
