One of Strudel`s best film`s I think, very enjoyable through out and never gives the game away. Sharon Stone looks awesome and it`s got the Inronside in there too.
Get your ass to Mars.

This is another Schwarzenegger gem. Probably one of my favourites up there with The Terminator. Violent as hell, quotable, three-tittied ladies, Benny, Ironside & Cox in the same movie!, & the gay gym teacher from Nightmare on Elm Street 2 with a guy growing out of his stomach.
WHAT DA FUCK DID AH DO WRUUUUUUUUNG!

I must admit, if it wasn't for Commando, this one would probably be my absolute favorite Schwarzenegger movie. So incredibly gory and action-packed, it literally had me cheering when I first saw it. Michael Ironside is perfect as a second-in-command-ish villain with a very big soft spot for his hot girlfriend Sharon Stone. It still boggles my mind to this day how they did the scene where Strudel approaches the hologram of himself. His face when he's getting his memory altered always give my a good chuckle. Oh, and of course, my favorite like from Strudel: "Hahahaha.....think this is the real Quaid? It is!"

This movie is one of Ahnuld's finest story and action wise. This movie has it all, there's brutal action, great one-liners,fantastic cast and the storyline is very well done.Plus Strudel gets his balls smashed countless times ;D
So, was it just a dream?

There's strong evidence to suggest that it's a super-paranoid dream. Concept drawings of blue skies on Mars in the Rekall lab, the alien options package, the drawings of the reactor that appear on the monitor, etc etc. I can't remember what the result of the original Dick story was, but given the rest of his canon I'd imagine Quaid/Quail wound up with fried pre-frontals and a slack-mouthed Hawking grin in the end. Yes, the Oak takes more hits to the pills in this than any other movie ever made, including a direct high-heel shot to the groin from Stone while helpless on the floor. The gummy grimaces he pulls with every agonising blow are priceless . Recall is my favourite Strudel flick, naturally, for all the reasons that have already been listed and many more. Sadly, like the mystery of chainmail or Damascus steel, the art of crafting movies like this was lost to human knowledge sometime in the mid 90s and is likely to remain beyond our grasp and ken forever....and that, my friends, is a real kick in the balls.

Yeah, they really don't make movies like this these days and thats a damn shame. Is it really that hard to make good R-rated action movie these days? At least Rambo was fucking great And that picture makes my balls itch. There really isn't anything like good kick in the balls

How hot was the Shazza in this? The first time I ever saw her was in this flick and damn she was smoking. Bless you Paul V for putting her in Basic Instinct afterward.
"Doug, you wouldn't hurt me, would you? Sweetheart, be reasonable. We're married!"
Bullet in the head.

Fantastic film! When I was a kid I had the poster on my wall Didn't they make a TV series of Total Recall? I never saw it, but swear it was advertised on Sky One about 15 years ago or so.

I think it`s a dream also. The audio commentary with Paul Verhoeven and Arnold Schwarzenegger goes into that idea further, Verhoeven even goes to point out where he thinks the dream begins.
