A pretty good sequel to the original. It's not as good but I still enjoy it. I remember seeing it for the first time around 10 years ago on TNT's Monster Vision with Joe Bob Briggs. I thought it was an incredibly fun watch. It lacked gore but was still ok. The main kid was a bit annoying. I love that Thom Mathews & James Karen returned as similar characters to the original. Funny stuff. The Thriller zombie was hilarious. I didn't really care much for electricity killing the zombies though. That was kind of lame. A really good soundtrack too.

I have never been a big fan of horror movies where you have a kid in the leading part. I guess I can thank titles like Halloween 4 and 5 plus Wes Craven's New Nightmare for that.
But in this one the kid is not as annoying as what I feared at first and that's a good thing, but instead its the zombies that makes me mad.
I have still yet to see an army of dead corpses as threatening as in the first Return of the Living Dead flick. But in the second one everyone seems dumbed down, and I hated how they treated Tarman. In the first one he would have ripped that kids head apart in the blink of an eye!
I gave it a 4/10 much thanks to the main kids big sister and her aerobics plus the soundtrack.
Return of the living dead part 2 was much more enjoyable than the last time I saw it, but still it could have been so much better.
