The Phantasm series happen`s to be my favorite horror series ever as I actually enjoy every entry. The second one is my favorite of the four film`s as it takes what was great from the original film and increases it, Evil Dead 2 style. These film`s are full of imagination and mystery, it`s well worth picking up the box set if you already haven`t.

I've only seen the first Phantasm, which is in my top 5 horror films, and plan on seeing the rest once they finally put #2 on dvd. I also have my eye out for the Tall Man figure

Unless Universal stops being a douche, I don't see that happening any time soon. That explains why I could not find the second one. I have the original Phantasm on dvd, a really good horror movie. I watch it every Halloween.

They're being huge douchebags about it. They won't release it on DVD over here in the States. I wish they'd sell the rights for a decent price to someone like Anchor Bay, who would put out a pretty rad version I'm sure.
The best way to get Phantasm II is import the region 2 UK version & hack your DVD player if it's hackable. Or downloaded VLC Media Player on your PC & watch it.
I own the region 2 UK Sphere Set & it's one of the best DVD sets I own. The bonus disc has some rad features.
The other Phantasm films are available on DVD here & are easy to come by.

My favorite horror series of all time. Each film is awesome, Don Coscarelli did a excellent job on making each film different. The original is my favorite, every time I watch I still get that creppy vibe as I did when I watched it the first time.
The thing that I don't understand is that Universal sold the rights to Phantasm III so easily. But why are they holding on to Phantasm II ? Anyway, there is a cool bootleg version on Flesh Wound Video that has both the Theartical and Workprint Versions (which is medicore) plus a whole slew of extra features.

After muddling around buying Shaw Bros dvd's and crime thriller books, I finally came to my senses and picked up the last copy of the R1 'Phantasm II' dvd from Best Buy, and boy was that a great decision! It's like Don Coscarelli took everything great that he did with the first one and upgraded it all. The gore is in a fresh supplement, the action is more explosive--a chainsaw fight that rivals the one in 'Tiger on the Beat'! I really need to find Phantasm III & IV once I get my next paycheck!

I'm glad Universal finally put II out. III and IV are pretty easy to come by so you shouldn't have much trouble finding them.

Although their edition sucks. Hopefully we get a decent release in the future.

Been awhile since I watched Phantasm, but last night I caught it together with Bubba Ho-Tep and it just keep getting better. Its incredible how good Phantasm looks today 30 years later, especially in a time with all the cgi and the big budgets.
I really miss the old creepy atmosphere that Phantasm, The Thing, Halloween 3 and some of the old sci-fi/horror films of Cronenberg shared so well.
Even though I already have all the films I've been thinking about getting the Sphere Box just because its looks so neat, and I understand it contains some great bonus materials too.
One of the best scenes in the film, but also one of the most memorable moments from any horror movie I ever seen. If I was kid and watched Phantasm for the first time, It would probably scared the living hell of out me and then some.
