I like Enfield,Alas Smith and Jones and Little Britain very much. I'm a big fan of British comedy, especially their sitcoms. British humor is the best in the world

I too am a big fan of NTNON, Alas Smith & Jones and Fry & Laurie. Stephen Fry once appeared in Smith & Jones, back in the mid-'80s. I've got the 2nd series of Fry & Laurie on DVD. Bought it from my local HMV for £8. One pretty good British sketch show from the '90s was The Mary Whitehouse Experience. It wasn't absolutely great, but it had some fine moments. Baddiel & Newman and Punt & Dennis had their own shows after TMWE ended, but they weren't as good. I have a feeling we won't see entire series of NTNON released yet, partly because one of its comedians Chris Langham recently went to prison for downloading child porn, but it might get released next year, because it'll be 30 years since it first started (October 1979). One good NTNON sketch shows just how much sex and violence you yourself can put into a TV programme with a revolutionary new remote control. It's on youtube somewhere. I came across a hilarious Smith & Jones one where Smith interviews Jones at a dinner table and makes very sexual suggestions towards him. He talks about clean sheets and sucking. Throughout, Jones has a very nervous smile, before saying, 'I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're talking about.'

I have seen some of The Mary Whitehouse Experience and it's pretty good. Quite amazing Newman and Baddiel actually managed to sell out Wembley Arena though.

Cheers for the heads up! I hope it'll include stuff from Alas as well as their BBC1 series.

From my understanding everything on this DVD will be from Alas, and the next volume will focus on their BBC series. The DVD will also feature S&J in Small Doses, a short series of four one-off 20 minute television plays from 1989.

I've heard of Small Doses and they also did a 1988 Christmas special - Alas Sage & Onion. They'll always be remembered for their head-to-heads which were written by Clive Anderson.
