I thought it was ok. Definitely not Arnold's best but also not his worst. I haven't seen it since around the time it came out. Another viewing is in order for the near future.

It had a few amusing lines, but I can't say I really enjoyed it.

I sat through the whole thing but the whole satanic theme freaked me out and I never wanted to watch it a second time. One of Arnolds worst IMO.

I don't like it. The bit at the start where Gabriel Byrne casually walks into the bathroom only to be unsuspectingly possessed by the devil in the form of a tracking shot (or some kind of shot; I'm no expert) is fantastically silly, but after that it's just boring.

I haven't seen it in a while, but used to consider it the best of that late 90's/early 00's Arnold era.
This was when Arnold was trying to move away from iconic roles, and wanted to be viewed as an Everyman. I remember an interview with John Milius where he predicted it wouldn't work, since people don't consider Arnold to be such a regular guy. And he was right. Arnold's not very convincing as a suicidal burnout. (For example, if this character's diet and will to live are so lousy, why is he in such great shape?)

I really really loved this movie and I'll tell you why. It was so different from what Schwarzenegger used to do that it was a breath of fresh air. Finally an Arnold movie where the biggest gun didn't determine the outcome. He played the movie exactly right and I thought it was creepy, intense, and action packed. Did anyone else get the Jesus comparisons to Arnold's character in the movie?
