Just curious what celebrities and or autographs you've obtained.
1. Brian Thompson-Met him at a local con a few years back, I'm pretty sure he was stoned or something. Anyways I got an autographed photo of him as Shao Khan from MK, and a picture of him choking me.
2. George Lowe- Voice actor for some Adult-Swim shows, most notably his portrayal of Spaceghost. Very friendly looney guy. He writes the strangest autographs.
3. R. Lee Ermey- Sadly I did not get to meet him, however my brother did when he was in boot camp at Quantico Virginia. So I have a signed rifle range target.

I met Lacuna Coil on their very first US headlining tour back in November of 2003. They played a small club in the city where I live and were signing shit and hanging out in the bar next to the venue. They were all very nice, although I could tell Cristina was not in the mood to sign shit and naturally damn near everyone flocked to her when she walked in. I was actually the last person she talked to before she went back to the bus. I just asked her to sign my insert for Unleashed Memories, shook her hand, asked her if one of the guitarists was around and bid her goodnight. Goddamn, is she short.
The band I used to videotape got to open for a few larger bands and play a rather large festival. At the festival's afterparty I briefly spoke with Elias Soriano from Nonpoint. I think the bands sucks but he was a very nice guy. I talked at great length with the guitarist and bassists from Jada Pinkett Smiff's joke of a band. Those guys were exceedingly awesome.
The biggest band they opened for was Hellyeah. That was an experience. I got to meet all of those guys and a lot of the old Pantera road crew that were made infamous in their home videos. Sterling Winfield is fucking cool and professional as hell. Kat Brooks has gotten a lot of gray hairs since he was almost killed by Nathan Gale. Chad Gray and Tom Maxwell were both beyond awesome. They actually came up to me first. Greg Tribbett was pretty nice as well. Mudvayne's drummer flew in just to hang out with his band mates and he and I bullshitted very briefly outside the dressing room, which they let me in to so I could use the pisser. I only met Vinnie Paul long enough to get him to sign my lanyard and get 2 pictures taken with. He seems like a very nice guy, albeit busy and preoccupied as shit.
I worked local security (which was a fucking joke) for a Nine Inch Nails show when they were having Queens of the Stone Age open for them a few years back. Josh Homme from Queens said hello and asked me how I was doing when he was going back to the bus after their meet & greet. I am not a fan of the band so I did not know who he was but he did look really familiar and he is hard to miss, the guy is tall as hell. He also told me to have a good night when I was leaving for my car as I had to walk past their bus and he was outside enjoying a smoke and trying to ignore a dumb groupie whore. I've heard stories and seen a few videos of him being a dick to people but he was very nice to me.

Hugh Cornwell (from The Stranglers) Alexie Sayle (Alternative Comedian from The Young Ones etc.) Timmy Mallet (UK kids TV host from years back) Midge Ure (Ultravox/Band Aid etc.) Rob Grant (Co-wrote Red Dwarf)
All of whom were very nice, well I get the impression Sayle isn't, but he was ok when I met him.

I met Lou Ferrigno at a comic book convention--a complete asshole.
Also met Mark Singer (beast master). I had the chance to meet Tom Savini last month but was in another state at the time.

UK board members of a certain age will know who I mean when I say that I saw Terry "The Really Wild Show" Nutkins twice in the same day.
Random royalty - I've also seen the Prince of Wales, and the Queen of the Netherlands.
That's about as good as my celebrity spotting gets, unless you include seeing a famous footballer/musician at their own match/gig.
Saying that though, the Mayor of London cycled past me a few days ago. In London, funnily enough.

Various members of bands - Lacuna Coil , Insomnium (all of), Satyricon, Keep Of Kalessin (bassist and singer), Zyklon (Descruthor) Hed PE - Jared and their drummer 'Tiny Bubbles' ( ), All of Arnocorps at their gig the other week....met half of Lamb Of God and didnt know as I was too drunk, but proper nice chaps and bought me more beer. Which was rather silly. Also, when I was sat in the pub on my own before a gig, I was joined at my table by Dave from Cradle Of Filth, their touring keyboard player Rosie, and their support band Hanzel Und Gretyl. Who also bought me beer and were really nice guys. Dave is awfully random, with some funny/terrifying ideas about women. Best part of that meeting was Rosie asking if I would like my photo taken with them, and my declining, much to the horror of everyone sat at the table lol At least Dani Smurf wasnt there, id have had to punch him in the face. Away from music, my first time in london, I bumped into Paul Ross on Oxford St, literally...and ive also had the joy of calling the guy who plays Les Battersby on Corronation St a ginger cunt when he almost stabbed me with his umbrella.

He didn't really return shake back and ignored my presence completely. I told him I was a huge fan and that I thought he was great in The Incredible Hulk. He may be mostly deaf, but he still didn't even acknowledge that I was talking to him. Just told other people to buy his $40 autographs. So much for being a hero. I met the guys from Three Inches of Blood outside of one of their shows afew months ago. Couldn't really shake hands with 'em, but I did tell them that they were great. They're pretty damn tall in person.

I too have met a bunch of bands, and drunk booze with them depending on the size of the venue. A girl I know is basically a groupie and has pics with just about all the metal stars. (Probably has pics of her being gang raped by the entire road crew too but that's another story...)
Recently met Fredrik Nordstrom after a gig, where he denounced Melodic Death Metal as "shit" and gave my mate £50 to get a prostitute. Quite comical.

Guess it depends on how you define "celebrity." I've met several drivers from CART/Champ Car/IndyCar, NASCAR, and NHRA. I've also met quite a few professional bowlers. I actually just bowled in a tournament this past weekend with 3-time PBA champion Mike Wolfe in the field, and I worked at a bowling alley in high school when the women's professional tour had a stop there, so that was a pretty cool deal.
But outside of the sports realm, I have never met a "celebrity."

Just to clarify, you mean Vernon Wells the celebrated method actor, not Vernon Wells the baseball player?
