"Who made who?" Classic 1980s tongue-in-cheek horror from Stephen King himself. Earth is caught in radiation from the comet known as "Rhea-M." Mechanical objects come to life & are in a murderous mood. The movie mainly focuses on a group of people trapped at the Dixie Boy truck stop, led by a post-Breakfast Club Emilio Estevez. A bunch of murderous trucks are ensuring that they don't leave alive led by the Happy Toyz Co. semi with the face of the Green Goblin from Spider-Man mounted on the front. It has some pretty funny parts. My favourite being the part where the ATM calls Stephen King(in a short cameo) an "asshole." Also the murderous steamroller & pop machine that takes out a baseball coach with a pop can to the forehead. Pat Hingle plays the scumbag owner of the Dixie Boy in a memorable performance. Emilio is just kind of there but is a bad ass. Also starring Yeardley "Lisa Simpson" Smith as a newlywed bride that is annoying & funny at the same time. This is a fun & entertaining movie not to be taken seriously. If you take it seriously, you'll probably hate it. Go into it knowing that it's mindless fun & you should enjoy it.

I remember my dad showing me this countless years ago. I almost puked when the waitress got her wrist cut-up by the can opener and also got the shit scared out of me when the steamroller came in abruptly to run over the little-league players. Good campy fun.

After the first time I saw this movie, I quickly went out and bought the AC/DC Who Made Who cassette tape. Emilio's second best movie, behind Repo Man.

One of my favourite films and also one of the earliest films I remember watching. I too have a lot of love for the murderous coke machine.
Other scenes of note, the black guy in the arcade when all the machines start spewing money out everywhere, 'YO MOMMA'! The cash machine calling Stephen King an asshole is funny as well, 'honey, this machine just called me an asshole'!

I hadn`t seen this one since I was a kid and I really enjoyed it, gory and funny, I loved the psycho style music every-time a machine goes on a killing spree.
"Adios motherfucker!"

They used to show this every summer back in the 90s and I thought it was a good watch but haven't seen it in years now.
Both Emilio and Charlie had some fine car-action/horror titles in 1986 with Maximum Overdrive and The Wraith.
Trucks (1997) a Direct-to-video release with Timothy Busfield (Poindexter - Revenge of the Nerds) which short story also Maximum Overdrive was based on was on TV last week but it was pretty weak though.
