Survivors of a tragic shipping collision are rescued by a mysterious black ship which appears out of the fog. Little do they realize that the ship has sailed the seas for years, luring unsuspecting sailors aboard and killing them off one by one. This is one of my favorites, it really is The Poseidon Adventure meets The Shining and it manages to generate some genuinely eerie moments along with gore, nudity and some other surprises. The cast is actually great, George Kennedy (The Naked Gun, Thunderbolt and Light foot and lots more) Richard Crenna (Trautman from the Rambo movies) and Saul Rubinek (Unforgiven, True Romance and Death Wish 5). Not to mention Sally Ann Howes who you remember from family favorite Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang (not sure what she`s doing here. ) The whole things on youtube but the DVD is region free and is full of extras including interviews with the cast and an audio commentary.

I don't remember too much of the plot, but I liked the creepy atmosphere it has. And the cast is not bad either. Maybe it's time to rewatch it.

You don`t remember the plot because there really wasn`t much of one to be honest. ;D
I`ve probably watched it 3 or 4 times over the years since owning it, always good fun.

Was this one of the first "killer" ship movies or were there others back in the 80's? Just wondering, cause I liked the idea.

Not sure if there was any before but after this there were a few rip off`s especially Ghost Ship which even stole the poster.
