I will not allow violence against this house!David Sumner (Dustin Hoffman) is man who has always run away from trouble all his life, rather than stand up to himself and fight. After leaving his country, David along with his young and beautiful English wife Amy (Susan George), hope to start a new and fresh life in her hometown Wakely.
But when an old boyfriend of Amy and his gang suddenly shows up, things is about to get out of control for David and his wife.

I used to own this on video a few years back. It was one of many "video nasties" that got banned in England back in 1984, although I heard there was a VHS version available which had several gritty sequences trimmed. I like the build-up to this story, showing how Dustin Hoffman gradually goes from being this passive geek to a violent avenger. Sam Peckinpah did for movie violence in the '70s what Paul Verhoeven did for it in the late '80s and early '90s.
