According to Filmratings.com, Bullet to the Head received an R Rating for "strong violence, bloody images, language, some nudity, and brief drug use."
However, the film's April release date was pushed back to November, while Walter Hill continues to work on the film in the editing room.
Wayne Kramer (The Cooler, Crossing Over, Running Scared) was originally supposed to direct, but left when he and Stallone had creative differences over their visions of the film.
I'd like to see what Kramer could do with an actor like Stallone at his disposal but I'll take Walter Hill any day, though.

It could be a complete disaster, but I`ll still check it out as I love seeing Sly kick ass.

I'm doing a double feature with The Last Stand. When was the last time you could watch an Arnie movie and a Sly movie in one night at the theater?

Not sure how well this will do, from what I`ve heard it`s tracking worse than The Last Stand, which to me looked like a better movie.
I`ll still be there of course.

I've also been looking forward to this one, even though the studio doesn't appear to have much faith in it. It'll basically just have two days to make a dent in the box office, since the Super Bowl is being held that same weekend.

Bombed horribly as did Arnie, where does this leave the action genre?

Very sad to hear this. But where is the marketing for both The Last Stand and Bullet to the Head? I know the films is still weeks away from hitting the screens in Norway and in some countries they don't hit the cinemas before in early May, but still I haven't read anything about none of the movies in any paper or heard much talk about them on TV or radio and it begins to piss me off.

There`s been no commercials what so ever in the UK for The Last Stand, only a couple for Sly`s movie but not any interviews on chat shows or anything for the both of them to get people motivated to get off their asses and see them. I don`t want to get political but the recent slew of shootings in the states has damaged this kind of cinema, a shoot `em up movie called Bullet to the head is hardly subtle or what America wants right now. This does make me concerned for The Tomb later in the year, I guess we`ll have to leave it to Mr.Willis and his latest Die Hard instalment to win back the nations love of action cinema or will it?

I've read that A Good Day To Die Hard has been tracking well, so I think it will break the recent trend of action flops. It is surprising that Arnold and Stallone weren't able to generate at least a $10 million opening. You could make a case that Stallone opened on the notoriously weak Super Bowl weekend, but Arnold had an entire 4-day holiday weekend.
