what sort of cruel and depraved madness is going on when Terminator 2, the action film of the decade, has not been included on this yet? the first R rated movie I saw in the theaters at the tender age of 5. by then I had already gotten shitty drunk two or three times so in my mind I was entitled to an R rated movie at the theater. before I left for school, this is no shit, my Mother knelt down putting her hands on my shoulders and said "this is an R rated movie, are you sure you want to go see this?" to me it was as if she were saying my childhood years and innocence would be over after I saw that particular piece of celluloid. the three of us had been watching R rated tapes together for years (Robocop and the likes, titties and brutal deaths) and to this day have no idea what the fuck she meant. I remember my Father picked me up from school after my First Grade class in his bright orange Corvette and we were off to the theater, blaring Thin Lizzy's Thunder and Lightning album while the Corvette whizzed in and out of traffic with my Dad's knee on the steering wheel smoking out of his glass weed pipe. which he told me was "Charoot" a different breed of tobacco. another movie that along with Jaws and Transformers The Movie that shaped my childhood and actually sculpted the person I am today. Transformers The Movie was rife with loud shred metal music that parents pissed and moaned and made a stink about when the film came out. now I play guitar and these same shred metal styled songs. Terminator 2 opened me up to the great world of The Oak and have never looked back since. a classic film that will go down in the books as a brilliantly executed piece of work that changed film forever. from the Bone Yard. ugh.

( Say, that`s a nice bike. This is easily my 3rd favorite Strudel film, one of the best scenes for me is the tanker chase. Just excellent.

I'd say that this is my second favourite Arnold movie behind The Terminator. It's just so damn good.
Normally, I hate CGI but I really think it was well-done in this movie. T2 didn't rely on CGI to carry the film. Maybe that's why I don't care as much. It had a great script, top notch acting from everyone involved especially the truck driver(shit!) that gets thrown out of the truck by the T-1000 after the Galleria(right?) shootout & Robert Winley as the Cigar Biker(Take it! Ahhhh!), a great Brad Fiedel score, & really good make-up effects by Stan The Man Winston.
I wish this was a movie that I had seen for the very first time in theaters when it first came out. I bet it was an awesome experience.
I prefer the special edition(with the normal ending) to the theatrical version mainly because it just gives us more T2. And a scene with Reese, my favourite character from the entire Terminator series. I also like the scene that shows them reprogram the Terminator's chip so it can learn things. A very powerful scene. The "Future Coda" ending is ok but I prefer the original ending because it leaves it up to us what happens.
As much as I enjoyed T3 & The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I don't consider them canon with the Terminator series. To me, Cameron's movies are what really happens. The other parts are just an add-on to the series. I enjoy them greatly but would have rather it ended with T2.
I have a question. What is the name of the dorky young guy that asks Miles Dyson where "it" came from? That's been bothering me for years. I know that it's not "Cyberdyne Tech because that's Van Ling & he's an Asian guy with glasses & long hair.

Here is a link to a PDF of the final script. It should be in here. www.wordsurge.com/Terminator_II.pdf

T2 is a huge piece of my childhood. I'm shaped around every line and scene in that movie. One of my favorite moments of the action genre is the entire scene where the T-1000 is chasing the SWAT truck with the helicopter and exchanging gunfire back and forth. I especially love the moment where Arnold hops out of the driver's seat, walks along the truck to the bed, walks onto the hood of the chasing big rig truck, kneels into the windshield and completely unloads his machinegun in the T-1000's face all in one shot. Absolute GOLD.

Ok, i dont know much about guns but in T2 Arnies shotgun which he acquires from the barman, how many rounds does that hold? When he has the first shootout with the T-1000 it seems like he fires about 6 or 7 rounds before having to reload manually. I thought most shotguns only held about 4 rounds at the most in the chamber, but like i said i dont know much about guns, just a curious question.

This was made in the finale of 80s Action, so bullet amount in guns doesn't really matter in this flick.

T2 is the textbook example of big-budget action. It was the most expensive film ever made at the time, and James Cameron knows how to squeeze every last cent out of his budgets (The Terminator was made for about the price of a packet of crisps, but sure doesn't look like it). It's a huge, hulking behemoth of a blockbuster, and I fucking love it. There are a handful of set-pieces in it that would be the best scene in most other action movies, which speaks volumes for T2's quality. First time I saw this round at a friends house I had to leave just after the T-1000 punches through John Connor's stepfather's head because my little sister started crying and I had to take her home

Well said, Colonel. Easily one of the best films of the 90's.

Did anyone have this T2 toy set from back in the day? I remember having it. The bio flesh shit ran out fast though.

That thing was badass. In fact pretty much all of the Terminator toys were, save for the really late ones. I miss the good old days when toys were actually good.

I'd say looking at the size of the magazine tube on that gun that it probably maxes out at 6 rounds in the magazine. That means you could load it, chamber a round, and then add another round giving you 7. I always wanted to see that first shotgun swapped with the SPAS 12 we see later in the movie, so Arnold could just dump the magazine into the T-1000 while riding the motorcycle.

Has anybody seen this Direct TV commercial featuring Robert Patrick reprising his role as the T-1000?
