Classic action from 1985 starring Chuck Norris. The story: An international band of terrorists lead by super-villain Rostov (Richard Lynch) lands in the US and causes all kinds of mayhem. Its up to enforcer Matt Hunter (Chuck Norris) to defeat them and restore peace. What can I say? This is a classic up there with Commando and Death Wish III. Huge firefights, a dazzling bodycount and a crazy storyline right out of the 80s! Essential action for everyone...

For me, this film is an Xmas tradition which I prioritise above all others.

A great Norris flick. Probably my third favourite movie of his behind Lone Wolf McQuade & Silent Rage.
The image on the cover of Chuck is legendary because it shows off his Lord Denim status.
Also starring Chief Henry from the episode of Saved by the Bell entitled "Running Zack" where Zack Morris finds out through Chief Henry, a Native American who likes to surf, that he has Native American ancestry. RIP Dehl Berti.

this is a cast iron classic. a few things i love:
1. chuck notices the presence of all those guys attacking his shack on gentle ben style rafts by observing the reaction of his pet armadillo.
2. the frequency with which rosotv shoots people in the nuts.
3. rostov driving into a quiet suburban neibourhood complete with kiddies decorating christmas trees and white picket fences, taking out a rocket launcher and letting rip.
4. the producers deciding during post production that the body count was not nearly sufficient and editing in a load of footage of hordes of people being raked down by machine gun fire during the final showdon between rostov and chuck.

Let's not forget the utterly excessive opening 5 minutes, "Cowboy," the coke straw up the nose head slam, I'm gonna hit you with so many rights..., the shopping centre massacre, you're beginning to annoy me, the omnipresence of Chuck Norris (except the fair ground), and Rostov's dream.
It's time to die.

I was showing a friend the trailer of this movie and he saw Chuck with his gun up to Rostov's head say "It's time to die"
He says, "is that where he kills the bad guy?" I say "No, that's a dream sequence." "Chuck dreams about killing the bad guy?" "No that's the bad guy's nightmare"
Looking back on it now, how many movies are there where the bad guy has nightmares about he hero killing them?

Certainly the most action-packed of all Chuck films. What a corpse count, too! I only wish he threw the chainsaw and impaled a mercenary when they went to blow up his house.

having a night in watching invasion usa.
ive just noticed that in the car chase after the mall scene, the chase flies past a load of kids in a park playing basketball. theres a machine gun firing from one of the cars and half the basketball game and the spectators get mown down. this film really leaves no stone unturned to maximise the body count.

also, the invading party deem it strategically appropriate to take out with large task forces and expensive weaponary - chuches, school buses, suburban homes, couples shagging on the beach. napoleon would be proud.

A complete classic. The bodycount would make all the other men of action step back and try to calm him down. Chuck is cold-blooded and takes NO prisoners. For instance, when he shoots the faux soldiers and one is on the ground bleeding and defenseless:
-"Feel like talking?" -*screams something in Japanese or something* -"Didn't think so." (fires machinegun all over him)
And Chuck's "Terrorism Radar" is hilarious. He either knows exactly where and when a terrorist act will be, or he simply stumbles upon it. The movie is just a series of scenes of Chuck saving people from acts of terrorism. Fantastic. And Bennett could learn a thing or two from Rostov. Rostov actually managed to shoot between and all over peoples "bawls". One thing I love is how Chuck is so terrifying, I think he's the only goodguy character to ever give the badguys nightmares.
And the ending is a slice of genius, typical of a Zito-Norris flick.

Chuck's performance has never been better than what it was in Invasion USA. "I'm gonna give you some lefts, you're gonna be begging for a right." is my favorite qoute from the film. "It's time to die." also rates high up there.

This was a good Chuck film, but his best performance was definitely in Code of Silence. Excellent movie.

This is my favorite Chuck film, though there are still a few I haven't seen. It's just so absurd and so realistic in some ways. Action movies need to be more like this.
It seems like the biggest buget Norris or Golan-Globus ever had.

Don't forget the scene where he sneaks behind Mikhail and grabs his .45 and the guy instinctively shoots himself in his own temple.
