The border is about to heat up. Van Dammage stars in his new film as Jack Robideaux, a Border Patrol officer who must use his greatest abilities to stop a squad of ex-SEALs from illegally transporting narcotics across the American-Mexican border. It also stars martial artist Scott Adkins, who had a bit part in the overrated Bourne Ultimatum. Directed by Isaac Florentine (Undisputed 2), it features big fights of high-flying kicks and missing teeth worked by great fight choreographer J.J. Perry (mortal kombat). Said to be another great win for Van Damme and possibly another shot at him getting back in theaters Releases on dvd on US soil March 4th and in UK March 24th.

I finally saw The Shepherd today (came in mail) and I absolutely love this movie. So much awesome action, including lots of shooting and some decent fights. Van Damme even says a snappy remark about a henchman's wife and how she sucks lots of c*ck.
I highly recommend this flick to all of you guys, and I'm not just saying that. He really does kick some ass. It's basically Van Damme's Urban Justice.

Don't let that get ya down, man. Sure, he's got a bit of a Seagal-size ego and whatnot, but the shooting rules. It's powerful and violent, plus he breaks two different arms throughout the course of the film.
Oh, and the villain's death is actually COOL, unlike those of his last two films.

What'd you think of it, Funaki? I quite enjoyed it. Best part was definitely when Van Dammage kicks the shit outta that guy in the prison and breaks his arm backwards.

The bar seen reminded me of Universal Soldier and Hard Target. Great violence. I actually enjoyed some of the dialogue Van Damme delivered as well, including two gems:
"You're piss-drunk and I'm holding a rabbit." "You know, your wife likes sex so much, she'd suck any c*ck bigger than yours. In fact, if you kiss her...you can taste every man in town."

Isaac Florentine usually deliver really good action, but this is unfortunately a disappointment despite the presence of some nice moments.

I've been meaning to check this one out, but always had other Van Damme films that were a priority above this. Now that I've seen almost all his films it may be time to check this one out.
