Nothing like 90 minutes of brain numbing violence and classic one liners. An awesome homage to action movies of the past. I was so jacked after seeing this flick I almost couldn't sleep before work.

I saw this movie on opening day and was satisfied greatly.
It seems as if you, my brother Trig and I are the only ones here that like this flick (from what I recall on the old board)

This movie is a classic. Even shooting out the letters on the sign on the rooftop was clever. I loved everything about this movie. The soundtrack also rocked!

I loved his over-the-top, unneccessary one-liner at the sign-letter shooting: "Fuck you, you fucking fuckers"

This movie was great! Maybe a bit too flashy at times but the action was nonstop and it was hilarious to boot! I need to see it again soon.

The special edition DVD was pretty cool, with a plethora of deleted scenes, including one where he escapes the federal agents in a dead-end alleyway by shooting holes in the wall and climbing up the holes like a ladder.

"Fuck you, you fucking fuckers" is one of the all time greatest lines ever uttered in a movie. I think it ranks right up there with "Go ahead, make my day."

Shoot 'Em Up is a perfect movie in terms "you get what you expect". Even the title's brilliant. Plus, the lead roles are great.
And there are some awesome scenes in it - the rooftop shootout, the love-making shootout, just to name a few.
Great action, great cast, great music - great film. A 10/10.

Frankly I hated this film. It was just shooting for the sake of shooting. Not really any character development or much of a plot. I found the cast unimpressive as well.

Just got this on Blu Ray. Man its funny. Me and my wife were cracking up all the way through it. ;D Not mean't to be taken seriously. Just a piss take of action movies and a homage to John Woo's Hard Boiled. As long as you know what to expect you'll love it. Paul Giammati is fantastic as the villan. If you love things like Commando and The Marine and can appreciate the tongue in cheek, its great! The sky dive!!!

I don't mind tounges being in cheek, after all many of the classics were made that way, to some extent of another, but I can't stand smug, "post-modern" "irony" like this. More power to you if you can get past that though.

The whole time I was watching this movie, I thought this would make a great video game. I was reluctant at first, thinking it was just another slow-motion bullet Matrix type movie. I was wrong. I don't care if it's "smug" or trying too hard to be funny. I was entertained the whole movie and that's all that matters to me. I am not a fan of Paul Giamatti, but I think he is perfect in this role-"A pussy with a gun." I would have to say the gun warehouse scene was the best.
"Guns don't kill people, but they sure make things alot easier!"
