Super Nintendo all the way, but i never had one myself. I always played at some friends of mine after school, but i think im going to order one from amazon or ebay soon. The two games i played mostly was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles In Time, and Castlevania (Dont remember wich part). My favourite song from the TMNT Game "Neon Night Rider"(I think the Snes version is better than the arcade version). Heres a clip from the part where you fight Krangs Body, Called "AD-2020 Neon Night Riders" www.youtube.com/watch?v=twpdf0HF3gITmnt In Time is still not only the best Turtles game, but one of the greatest arcade/console games ever. It had all, fantastic graphics, sound and songs are still tight and you meet up with almost everyone of the bad guys from 1987 tv series. Its a shame that konami 3 last tmnt games on ps2 sucks. I bought the 3rd from 2005 with the promise of "Bonus Game" TMNT In Time, but what i got was utter crap, the music and sound was not like the 1991 version, you couldent block when the enemy hit you. Though, the 2007 movie version game, by Ubisoft i think, wasent all crappy, it had an ok graphic, and the controllers were light years ahead of the 3 last Konami games, but the story was to short, and music and enemys wasent very creative.

I've got the japanese version of that game, it's awesome! I imported the American version of the Snes about two years ago (it's so much nicer looking than the pal version), anyway it was modified to play all regions, possibly the best £40 I've ever spent, bundled with Turtles in Time, R-Type and a couple of others.

^I echo what you've said, Chainmail Vest.
I still have my SNES hooked up and sitting beside my xBox 360, and PS2. My PSone is sitting in the cupboard and I'm pretty certain that I have my old Sega Master System lying around somewhere in the garage as well. My point is that I find that the SNES's longevity is evident in the fact that it sits aloft my PSone (which came after it) and beside two consoles (my xBox 360 and PS2) which came well after it and both have superior hardware.

I really think this is no contest. You have to go with NES all the way. Every console has there classics but, NES produced the most. Not to mention leading the Home Video Game revolution. There where systems before but, not the impact NES had. If you where to take a poll I bet just about everyone had NES. While on the other hand it was either Sega or SNES, usually not both.
Second you have to go with SNES for such classics as - Crono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Earth Bound, Rock 'n' Roll Racing.
Sega comes in a strong third with - Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and Phantasy Star series.
