Zombies man, they creep me out. I really enjoyed this one myself, I may be in line to be shot-down for saying this but in some ways I found this to be superior to Day (which was a childhood favorite of mine). My only real complaint was that Land should have been longer. I`ve seen it only twice myself and it seems to improve on each viewing. Roll on Diary.

I got this about 3 Christmas's ago on DVD and have loved it ever since. It's got great writing, good story, intense amounts of gore (as there should be), and good ol' Dennis Hopper as the rich prick who couldn't give two shits about Fiddler's Green. I stood up and cheered when I saw that Tom Savini's character "Blades" from Dawn of the Dead (1978) appeared as a full zombie and hacked-up some soldiers. They even have a figure of him by SOTA Toys! My only real complaint about this movie is the CGI. Most of the squibs were digitally inserted and disappoints me greatly when they could've gotten real squibs or pulled a Robert Rodriguez and made squibs out of condoms and red water. Some of the stuff could've been done with only afew basic supplies, like the scene with the zombie priest that bit the one SWAT officer's arm. The CGI head kinda pulled me out for a bit.

There should be a law banning CGI from all horror movies. I don't mind it as much in other movies when it's used for effects that can't be pulled off otherwise but too many people depend on this shit to carry a film.

Amen. Rob Bottin has done some incredible makeup f/x that are millions of times better than any CGI work and seem millions of times more real. It's amazing what he can do that some dumbass computer cannot.

In my opinion this movie was a great dissapointment... I consider the first three movies to be grat zombie movies so this was a big let down.. sadly...
