I just spend my afternoon watching the original theatrical releases of the film`s and really enjoyed them. They never meant anything to me as a kid and they don`t mean the world to me now. But still, they`re very enjoyable. My personal favorite is Return Of Jedi.

I wouldn't mind watching the originals. Haven't seen them in years.
Fucked if I'm going to buy them...I already bought the big box set that came out a few years ago.
Lucas doesn't need the cash so I'll probably download them. He's such a cunt, he released fullscreen 2.1 stereo versions last year and gave some bullshit excuse that widescreen 5.1 versions didn't exist. Fuck him.

yeah like the pristine remastered prints he released in the early 90's 'went missing'. the man's a grade A cocksmoker. i spent a fortune on buying the dvd's of the non-cgi versions. i didnt feel good about it either.

I'm not sure he does that for extra cash - he's already minted. I think it's more to do with the fact that he wants his CGI altered versions to be the definitive versions of 'his vision' and he's too egotistical to accept that lots of folk want to watch the versions that they watched when they were 10.
I love the first trilogy, but the prequels were fucking rubbish.

He's releasing them in 3D in 2008/09 and they'll make another half a billion dollars for him.
Then he'll release 6 disc editions of each movie on dvd and then when we can't take anymore he'll realise that the old original versions were perfect he'll send them back to the theatres again.

I love the original Star Wars trilogy. I was lucky enough to get the original theatrical versions on dvd. I cannot stand the new versions of the films. Especially in Jedi when the monster with red lips is singing a fucked-up song in Jabba's cantina. Completely ridiculous!

Lucas will be having hot meal`s for a long time to come.
On the subject of the prequel`s, I`ve only ever seen Episode 1. What a turd.

They mustn't have sold very well because they're £4.99 each over on www.play.com. 2 disc editions - old and new versions.
