I would say check out Mullholland Drive after that or Lost Highway. Wild at Heart isn't my bag personally, but get another Lynch film under your belt then try Inland Empire. I warn you, it is three hours but it is fucking three hours that are worth it.
Blue Velvet is a classic. Dennis Hopper kills it.
"Heineken, fuck that shit! Pabst Blue Ribbon!"

I could rant about Lynch's brilliance for hours.
Check out Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive next. They have very similar themes - how does the mind enable people who have done something terrible to carry on as though nothing had happened? He was inspired by the OJ Simpson trial to make Lost Highway. Mulholland Drive is the female version.
Inland Empire is the best film ever made.

I just got done watching Blue Velvet, it`s one of the most beautiful shot film`s I`ve ever seen. It`s nothing short of wonderful.
Hopper is king.

I told you Hopp killed it dude!
"do you know what a love letter is? it's a bullet. from a fucking gun. you get a love letter from me, you're fucked...forever!"
you are right wildey, Lynch is doing coffee now. an advert for it was on the inside of my copy of Inland Empire. apparently it's a passion of his and he's been doing it a while, selling it on his site.
what do you mean about the Hulkmad business? just curious man.

Well that was my first post on this new site, and I know several members have been anxiously awaiting the return of the living legend.

I always liked Straight Story.
I don't know who put David Lynch & Disney Studios together but it worked and it's one of the best movies of the 90's.
It's unlike most of his other movies. Just a simple film about the importance of family.

Inland Empire is the best film ever made. Sorry Will, but I gave it a shot last night and thought it was total balls.

On the other hand, I'm part way through Fire Walk With Me, which is great. I don't understand why this is often referred to as his most inaccessible film.

I've never seen any Lynch, but might give it a whirl next week when I'm off work.
I figure that I'll either a) not 'get it' at first, but like enough to persevere before it clicks and I love it or b) I'll think it's all a pile of shite.
I'll keep you posted, muthafuckas.

I just watched Blue Velvet again earlier, I`ve only seen it 3 times but it`s easily one of my favorite films. Definitely worth checking out.
"You`re one suave fuck" ;D
I still need to give Inland Empire a spin, I`ll check it out tomorrow and hopefully I`ll dig it.
