The man is a living legend. Woo is without a doubt the greatest action director of all time and, alongside John Carpenter, my favorite director. The ending to The Killer brings a tear to my eye each time I see it. I only wish his heart wasn't pulled from some of his Hollywood films like Broken Arrow and some of Hard Target's great dialogue which was cut by the MPAA for dumbass reasons. No one films gunfights like Woo and you can take that to the bank. While Hard Boiled is true shooting orgy and a great action movie,Woos greatest movie (in my opinion) is Bullet in the Head. Killer's end makes me cry and if Matrix were here, he'd cry too

My favorite Woo movie is The Killer with Hard Boiled in a very close second. The sheer amount of action in either of those movies (especially Hard Boiled) is insane. My third fave would be Face/Off. Also Bullet in the Head is a pretty awesome insane movie. A Better Tomorrow is good. The sequel is ridiculous, but entertaining. The "eat the rice scene" is legendarily funny/bad and the end action scene is perhaps the most over the top action scene ever filmed.
