The master of the close up. Made a star out of Clint Eastwood's squint. Didnt make that many classics, but the classics he made were unbeatable. made 4 of the best westerns of all time. also the master of brilliant cinematography.

Easily in my top three directors of all time. Leone's brilliant. R.I.P Sergio Leone 1929 - 1989 "You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig."

I love his movies, The Good The Bad and The Ugly is my favourite, i also like Once Upon A Time In America, and in the West. Its a damn shame he only lived till he was 60, thats quite young really.

The 1st part of Once Upon A Time In America was excellent, giving a history of Noodles and co., and ending with a fantastic shootout, but I found the 2nd part quite boring. It was made better by the superb acting of De Niro and a young James Woods (well, he didn't exactly look young, did he? ). Once Upon...The West is an all-time classic, with Bronson and Fonda in fine showdown form. 'What's your name?' 'I'll tell you...at the point of dying.' Love the shootout ol' blue eyes has with his own men.

I liked this movie as much, if not better, than The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. A must see. I haven't seen A Fistful of Dollars yet. I can't find it on DVD anywhere!
