Anybody else think this is one of the best Bond movies ever? I absolutley loved this movie the first time I saw it, and it seems to keep up it's intensity even after several viewings. Awesome main bad guy and pretty sweet action scenes. The scenery is also pretty cool. The scenes in Cuba (Really Hawaii) and Iceland were my personal favorites. Halle Berry is not the greatest actress, but pretty sweet to watch. I also think Rosamund Pike may be one of the hottest Bond girls ever. Just my opinion.

To be honest I thought this one was crap compared to some of the other Bonds like Casino Royale and From Russia With Love. Just not very good, and the opening Madonna song was too "dance floor" for 007, although I liked the bit where Bond flips the car by firing a missile.
Other than that, no thanks. Not one of my favorite Bonds.

This is one of those Bond movies that people seem to love or hate. I thought it was one of Brosnan's best. Sure there were some silly aspects but the series moves in cycles.
When they get too serious they become sillier and sillier until they drop the humor somewhat and become more serious. Just as Moonraker was followed by the more down to earth For Your Eyes Only, Die Another Day was followed by Casino Royale.
Eventually the Daniel Craig ones will become more and more over the top (or this will happen under the next actor) and they'll make it serious again.
That being said, I thought that Die Another Day was like Brosnan's Moonraker or even The Spy Who Loved Me and brought with it all the positive elements of those films and some of the negatives as well.

I thought this was total shite. About the only decent thing about it is Halle Berry in a bikini.
The reason they've gone all 'darker and more serious' with the Daniel Craig Bonds, is that Die Another Day was pish...sort of the same deal with Batman & Robin - pretend it never happened and re-boot the franchise.
Anyway...Rosamund Pike is pretty hot though. She was in Doom as well, which sucked cock in hell (though it was almost bad enough to be enjoyable in some perverse way....) Is she like action movie kryptonite or something?

I think comparing it to Batman and Robin is going a little too far. I at least thought this was better than The World is Not Enough which had a horrible amature dramatics feel to it at times.
Pike is pretty hot but her acting in Doom was so horrible it might actually be the worst thing about that movie, which is saying something.

It's an awesome flick! saw it twice at the cinema during release, sure it was over the top, but it was still a great film. The only thing that really bothered me, was some of Halle Berry's dialogue 'Yo mamma' that felt a bit out of place.

I thought Die Another Day was alright but probably the weakest of Pierces Bond movies.
