I started this thread because we had one on the old board.
I dropped 4 fat ass hits, then drove down the road for about a block so I could be chillin with the King. the King of the Blues... Mr. BB King!
I just got out of it an hour ago. I am trippin
The King sat upon his Throne with lovely Lucille crying for him.
he talked to us and told us stories and I am glad I choose to sit by black guys with their wives and even mother in laws. it's like this, old yuppie white people don't talk they clap. black people talk, sing a long and comment on the Kings jokes. dude next to was saying "get it BB!cmon now, that's what I'm talkin bout"

went with my dad to see dio on wednesday night. despite being 5ft tall, 67 years old and with a band full of generic sub-marty friedman widdlers, the man put on a hell of a show. me and my old man were banging along to 'man on the silver mountain' and an epiphany was reached. it was an honour to finally see the great man.

I am jealous, I would love to see The Man Himself in concert over here but Dio hasn't toured the US in several years. I can't say as I blame him.

I saw Dio about eight years ago. At the same night I also saw Manowar and Motorhead,so it was pretty successful evening ;D

Dio is just about the only person on my list that I haven't seen. besides the legendary acts that aren't around anymore. duh. did anybody else here about Carcass getting together for a few UK dates?

I thought Carcass were just doing the euro festival circuit? I'd like to see them do just one tour proper. I went to see Hate Eternal, Cephalic Carnage, Skeletonwitch and Man Must Die on monday. It was cool but yet simultaneously depressing to see some awesome bands playing in a half full toilet venue full of what appeared to be disinterested bell ends. My mates and I were leaning on the barrier front and centre and i honestly never felt a single person behind me. Rutan looked pissed off (not just in a death metal way) and then they got cut short cos of a curfew. Was a bit in all.

I recently saw Three Inches of Blood do a show an hour outside of town. It was absolutely kickass.
Only problem were the damn crowd surfers, one of which nearly kicked me right in the face. Other than that, the show totally ruled.

Three Inches of Blood does indeed put on one hell of a great show.
That is a shame about that show, Vest. I've been to a few shows like that. What a waste of time'letdown for the guys in the bands.

Saw Public Enemy and Kool Keith the other week, which was simply amazing. It was rammed with 30 year old whiteys like me who knew all the lyrics from It Takes A Nation ...
Chuck D is the (second) best Chuck in the world.
Kool Keith only did Dr Octagon and Sex Style tunes - his best.
All in all, the nutz.
