Steve McQueen plays Ralph "Papa" Thorson, the last American bounty hunter in this somewhat true story. He's a normal man with normal problems that turn worse when a a man he put in prison come back for revenge.
Excellent effort from McQueen as this was his final film. A lot of good action scenes. Highly recommended.

I've got this in my massive collection of action DVDs and as Steve McQueen's last film, it is a very good effort. The part where he chases Thomas Rosales is class, on a par with the airport foot chase in Bullitt, and the final confrontation with the killer is just 'explosive!' Have you ever seen Tom Horn? That was another of his last movies, and from what I saw of it one weekend night, it seemed like a good pic, with some gritty shootouts and a decent turn from McQueen. Don Siegel was supposed to direct it at one point.
