I've never played the game, however I find that movies based on games tend to be rubbish.

I love the first game but didn't care much for the second although I didn't play it much. I'll have to give it another chance sometime. I hope the movie doesn't suck but it probably will.

I liked the second game better. The action was more balls to the wall, thanks to the better physics system.
And the movie will probably be just like any other game movie = shit sandwich

It does not surprise me..... But their are rumors all over the web about Michael Bay remaking Nightmare on Elm St.......without Robert Englund. It's almost to the point where you can't even make this stuff up anymore. All I can say is long live the 80's action genre.

Yeah, I think we can all come to an agreement that the 80's was truly a golden age in cinema history.

They are scrapping a Golden Compass sequel because of "religious controversy" www.imdb.com/news/ni0263390/Why can't they just admit it was because the original was a deeply unnecessary film which lost too much money?

That looks amazing. Utterly brutal too, it appears to be verging on Story Of Ricky levels of splatter. What I want to know is, why, when Nu Metal has been a joke since about 2002, do all action films (and Wrestling PPVs for that matter) seem to have it? Especially this film where Megadeth have half a song about the Punisher crying out to be used above this utter braindead shit. Sadly this proves that the studios think that your typical action movie fans are idiots that idolise Fred Durst and Korn and like to totally break stuff and are like doin it all for the nookie and shit.

You're right, that Nu Metal shit should die already. For some reason Nu Metal and Rap is the music of choice in todays action films and when every fucking movie has the same shitty music playing and shitload of CGI, it makes them all feel, sound and look the same Hire James Horner or something... edit: And look at that, quality soundtrack confirmed: www.aintitcool.com/node/37642NOT!!

Hmm, the action looks a bit too Matrix-y to me in places. Still looking forward to it though.

I agree. We need more James Horner or John Williams. Many great composers are now being replaced with complete crap.
