I've always wondered, how Bennett escaped his fishing boat, when Cooke blowed it up. Does his chainmail have special powers, that keeps him safe from fire and explosions,or did he just simply jump at the very last moment to the salty sea beneath him? Huaagh!! Any more escape theories?

I always figured he coated himself in a thick layer a analease, thus making him fireproof.
Your training Matrix.

I figured he bailed off the front. The explosion seemed to emanate from the stern of the vessel. Perhaps he did a graceful swan dive into the briny sea.

I believe Bennett never left the boat, he just drove the flaming (No pun intended ) boat to shore and went on his way. How can he do this you ask? Bennett is virtually indestructible. He can survive severe electrocution, 50 direct Matrix punches to the face, and even an exploding boat. Their is only one thing that can kill Bennett and that is a direct pipe shot to the solor plexus. In a way this makes Bennett alot like the Death Star from Star Wars. Their was only 1 thing that could destroy it and Luke figured it out. It may have just been luck that Matrix finally found the flaw in the almighty Bennett or they may still be fighting to this day!

That's a good theory and who knows, maybe that is what happened? Theories so far: Magic chainmail Soaked himself in analease, thus making himself fireproof Graceful swan dive Almost indestructible Bennett fears nothing, but pipes I like the way, you guys think

The pipe may be his only weakness, but I disagree with you. Bennett does not fear any type of pipe

im more surprised that matrix managed to penetrate that chain-mail vest with the pipe. i thought it was bullet proof. now i realised he was just making a fashion statement.

My guess is that Bennett jumped right to the bottom of the ship before Cooke could blow it up with the oversided detonator. It looks like only the back of it really blew up and it was on-deck.

Bennett is fire-proof. I'd say "flame-proof" but we all know how flaming he is.

I remember a promotion that they used to do at our Minor league baseball games involving "Captain Dynamite", a guy who would get in a box full of explosives behind 2nd base, detonate those explosives, and then get up to thunderous applause. Bennett was a Captain, and I never saw them together. I'm just sayin'
