I'm going with the director's cut because it doesn't take anything away from the original version. It just adds more to it. ;D

Director's Cut.
Its got great added scenes and great bonus features, also it has extended uncut footage in the legendary shed scene, i don't think i will ever go back to the theatrical version.

If someone would get there act together and bother giving it a UK release then I could vote. But they haven't so I've still not seen it.

Director's cut. It's still the original masterpiece, but with a little backstory, a foul-mouthed Chenney, a gorier shed scene and a badass couple shots on the beach at the end of the soldiers telling Matrix to halt, and Matrix just brushes right past them and they stare in awe at him.
Who'd have thought Commando could be improved upon?

I'll take Director's Cut any day of the week. Additional scenes added to my favorite movie just makes it even better. God bless the petition.

I haven't watched Directors Cut al the way through yet. I've watched the new scenes and the bonus features.
I wasn't too impressed with the picture & sound improvments or maybe there was no way to improve on the old disc which always looked good to me.
If I'm in the mood for Commando I think I'll always use the old version. It's nice to have the new dvd but it's not the one I fell in love with.

My only real gripe about the DC is that when Matrix is firing his machine guns at the end, their sounds have this annoying wavey effect to them that really gets under my skin.

Just took a screenshot from both discs to compare the quality improvements if any..... Original DVD ReleaseDirector's Cut DVDI never really had a problem with the old versions picture quality but as you can see, the Director's cut is a little sharper and the colours are more natural. There is some picture loss at the top and bottom of the Director's cut and a little at the sides too. Seems to have been cropped.

Directors cut. Mainly because it has quite a lot of interesting special features which the UK theatrical cut on DVD did not have.
