I know the first one`s the best made, but I`m actually voting for the fourth one as it was the first horror film I ever saw and it`s the best sequel in my opinion.
I love the first four but after that the series goes downhill like a fat kid on a skateboard. Go figure.

I went for the third, because it's my favourite of the sequels and I think it's unjustly maligned. I know most fans hate the fifth, but I remember enjoying it. Don't remember much about it however. The sixth is ambitious, but it just doesn't come off. It's greatly preferable to the last two however, which are increadibly dull and way too slick and mainstream. I actually think H20 is even worse than Ressurection, or at least less enjoyable. I hate to admit it, but the remake was at least better than the last three of the original series. Hell, it's worth watching just to see William "Richie" Forsythe tell his wife their daugter's got a "nice looking dumper on her" Danielle Harris didn't make the transition from child to adult actress well though

I get flack for my opinion frequently when I say that the 3rd Halloween film is my favorite in the series. It's an original story with Tom Atkins and it's a nice litter turn from the slasher course of the series.

Halloween II is my favourite at the moment. I love the eerie setting at the hospital. It portrays isolation quite well.
I've noticed that more people are getting into Halloween III these days. That's a good thing because it's finally getting the appreciation it deserves.

I watched the the producer`s cut of Halloween 6 on you-tube earlier, it`s a vast improvement over the messy theatrical version but it`s hardly the hold grail that some fans make out it is.

Halloween III is an underappreciated gem. Absolutely over the top, ridiculous, downright stupid, and tons of fun. It's my favorite of the series. Just behind that, the original Halloween is an amazing film.

I can't vote.
Halloweens 1-6 are awesome, and I just couldn't pick a favorite, although 1 would probably win because it was the first film to scare the shit out of me as a kid.

Anybody see the new Halloween 30th Anniversary Collector's set? It came out last week. 6 disc set includes: • HALLOWEEN Restored (original 1978 version) • HALLOWEEN Extended Edition (out of print for years) • HALLOWEEN 25 YEARS OF TERROR: Disc 1 • HALLOWEEN 4 DiviMax • HALLOWEEN 5 DiviMax • HALLOWEEN Blu-ray (bonus disc) I saw it at Best Buy yesterday for $50. I think it usually retails for $90. $50 isn't a bad deal. There's not much of a reason for me to get it since I own all of the discs except for the Extended Edition(I want this one badly though) & the Blu-ray disc, which I could give a shit less about because I'm not into the whole Blu-ray fad. The best version of the first Halloween is the 25th Anniversay Edition. I love that DVD.
