Both of these guys defined heavy rock in the '70s. Blackmore is the more fiery axeman with his sizzling solos and on-stage guitar-smashing antics, but in terms of versatility, I'll go for Page.
He's the master of the riff and whether he plays hard or soft, he'll nearly always move you.
