One of my childhood favourites this. A top class piece of action. It's got a solid story, decent action and a decent cast. It's also got good humour in it, especially between Dolph and Benben. It's always good to unleash the flying CD's everynow and again. Plus quite possibly the most exploding cars ever in this film. "fuck you spaceman!"

I remember this being very daft and enjoyable. Didn't the bad guy's gun more-or-less shoot explosions instead of bullets?

Yup. And this was made for only $6-8 millions, pretty slick for what it was...
Actually David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Stir of Echoes, Panic Room, War of the Worlds etc) co-wrote the script (under a pseudonym).

I hope Command Performance has a similar tone to this one really. Not too serious, plenty of one-liners and action. As well as that, Dark Angel at least fleshed out some characters in this. It did have some clever touches in the film.

I come in peace, may sound something that Bennett would get off on,but It's a really solid action movie. Dolph is great as usual, rest of the cast are good as well (espicially that big fucking spaceman!)There's flying discs and the action is decent as well,so this movie should make action fans happy.
- I came in peace - But you go in pieces, asshole

One of Dolph's best. It's my favourite movie of his behind The Punisher. I wish it was out on DVD here in the States.

I just saw this for the first time. This movie kicks major ass! Aliens, Dolph, 80s music, and the typical annoying partner--this movie has it all. I especially love the very ending where he kicks the alien through a pipe and blows him to hell. Easily one of Dolph's best of all time.

Yeah too bad it had such a lame release in the US at the time, it had a good number of theaters (1,000-1,500) but almost no promotion from what I can tell. This with "The Punisher" (if it had a theatrical release) should have given Dolph a better a better start in the mainstream...

I love when they are investigating that crime scene, the one where the alien was shooting compact discs at everyone...and that scientist calls Brian Benben "Flathead"

MGM has finally released this via their movies-on-demand DVD-R label. That is one neat cover. I already own the region 2 version but its DVD cover is horrible. Dark Angel/I Come In Peace is one of Dolph's best work along with The Punisher, Red Scorpion and Showdown In Tokyo and it has a pretty good soundtrack done by Jan Hammer. It would be great if he maybe one day did a sequel to one of these movies, instead of some jerk makes crappy remake. Always liked the end theme:
