An absolute Bronson classic (starring Col. Trautman!)[orange]Chucky himself plays John Deakin, an agent who is taken aboard a train by a US Marshal. It also has a priest and a governor among other aboard in this exciting whodunit story where the train is carrying medical supplies, heading towards Ft. Humboldt as people suddenly start dying unexpectedly.[/orange] Its a truly great film with a VERY exciting climax which involves more of a deadly combination than Riggs and Murtaugh: Bronson and a load of dynamite. (SPOILER) The ending is fantastic when Indians invade the train and Bronson blows the whole thing to piss. Then he has a quick standoff at the end, which just adds more great icing to the cake. Oh, and the film also stars Ed Lauter (every Bronson film ever made) and The Crenna (Trautman from First Blood). It's explosive (literally) and is extremely suspenseful. It's been on the FLIXe digital cable channel lately if anyone is curious. So far I've seen it twice and cannot get enough of it.

Just finished watching this one. I was blown away by how good this movie was. You get a mystery story plus amazing action. That's Allistar MacLean for you.
Bronson gets to use his brain more than his guns in this movie and it's a side of him I'm glad to see. Don't let it fool you though, when push comes to shove, Bronson kicks some major ass.
Another star of the show is Jerry Goldsmith's score which helped carry the feeling of adventure and excitement. The supporting cast is great, Richard Crenna, Bill McKinney, Ben Johnson, Charles Durning, Ed "Death Wish 3" Lauter, etc. I was glad to see Robert Tessier in this movie, I wish he'd been in it more. His fight with Bronson in Hard Times was the highlight of that movie.
**SPOILERS**
My only criticism of this film is that in the end Bronson didn't get to take on Richard Crenna or Robert Tessier. Both would have made great conclusions but instead he has to take on Ben Johnson, not bad but I'd rather he'd taken them all on one at a time.
END SPOILERS
I'd recommend watching this with Under Siege 2 if you want to go for a train themed action movie double feature.

Sadly, this is one Bronson film I've never seen, but I'll give it a shot whenever I can.

This one takes a while to get going, but it's a fun ride once the mystery has finally been established. The highlight of the film is Bronson battling former light heavyweight champ Archie Moore on top of a moving train! I'd recommend watching this with Under Siege 2 if you want to go for a train themed action movie double feature. And ironically, Archie Moore's character is a chef.
