Simply put the greatest entry in the Dirty Harry series. Lots of excellent action, a very memorable villain, and a great script from Red Dawn director John Milius. The plot is nice and original, unlike half the garbage we get these days: Several criminals who have eluded the law are being gunned down by a cop on a motorcycle. Harry, who was reassigned to stakeout duty is assigned the case cause his superiors are afraid that this is some kind of gang war. But Harry suspects that they have a vigilante on their hands, quite possibly a cop.The action in this one is in a great supplement, including the market scene, the raid on the dockside hideout, and the excellent chase finale. One of my favorite kills in the movie is when Harry pins down a henchman and karate chops his throat 8 or so times, killing him. Awesome. This film also gets the award for greatest opening credits EVER.

MF is just one of those action movie sequels you never get tired of. Excellent music from Lalo Schifrin, a collection of nasty bad guys, great shootouts and Clint Eastwood showing 'em all who's the boss. Dirty Harry is one of the greatest cop thrillers ever made, but Magnum Force has more action and a message about fascism. Check this old TV advert out : www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeBF6o0z1wU

Defintely the best Dirty Harry sequel. The plot is excellent and has probably been copied 100 times. And it's cool to see David Soul play a cop before he did Starsky & Hutch.

MF was the reason why David Soul got the role as Ken Hutchinson. The producers were pleased with his performance as the deranged cop and they must have loved his action scenes, too, the way he fired a gun and moved. A very athletic dude.

I always thought that this was one of the weaker sequels. I mutch preferred The Dead Pool with Liam Neeson, Jim Carrey, and Guns'n Roses (check it out, they are in the funeral sequence).

Magnum Force and The Enforcer are the most underrated sequels in the Dirty Harry series, both of them have great stories, characters, and action. Sudden Impact and The Dead Pool are also good sequels too. Now, that I've just thought about it, The Dead Pool is kinda underrated as well.
