Although Invasion U.S.A. is probably my favorite Cannon movie (well, at least my favorite Chuck Norris movie, anyway) The Delta Force is pretty awesome, too. Solid action, and Robert Forester made for a surprisingly great bad guy. Anyone know why Cannon's original plans for this to be a Bronson/Norris team-up fell through? Norris stayed aboard, so I imagine it would've been on Bronson's end. Maybe he didn't like the script? Wanted more cash? Creative differences? Shame they couldn't put it together. Would have been truly epic! Sadly, all we'll ever have of a potential Bronson/Norris team-up movie is this early trade ad from Cannon...

That`s a fucking shame they never teamed up. Indeed. I had always wondered why Cannon Films would cast someone a little older like Lee Marvin to star opposite Chuck Norris in The Delta Force, when they have Charles Bronson right there at the same studio. Cannon had also brainstormed another team-up... this one with Dudikoff as well! The Deadly Three (Unproduced 1988) - Production Notes: Two former agents from the DEA and the CIA join forces with an ex-Green Beret to recapture a South American drug lord. Slated to star Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson, and Michael Dudikoff. To my knowledge, there was no early sales art promoting this one. Not sure if it ever even got as far as the script stage. Probably just a blurb in a production meeting. Who knows. Maybe the upcoming Cannon Films documentary, Electric Boogaloo, can shed some light on why these dream projects never got off the ground.
