Well, some food for thought: 1- Did Chenny already knew Bennett before the events depicted in 'COMMANDO'? I bet Old Johnny must have invited his teammates to dinner sometime in the past. 2- HOW on Earth did John/Commando dare to attack the camp and Arius's mansion so "loudly", if he knew Arius and Bennett could have killed Chenny at every moment? After all, he didn't know that Chenny had already escaped from her room and was relatively safe.

After all, he didn't know that Chenny had already escaped from her room and was relatively safe. Matrix wanted to go in blazing for his daughter, dead or alive. He wanted her back from Bennett and Arius no matter what the cost. Like Bennett says: "When Matrix finishes the job, he'll be back for his daughter. Now whether she's alive or dead doesn't matter. Then he'll be after you. Now the only thing between you and Matrix.........is me."

Fake Mustache,
I agree with you to a certain extent but tell me... why did he care for the 16 hours arc in order to rescue Chenny? On the other hand, he didn't know where Chenny was...

because he had 11 hours to kill president Velasquez. In that alotted time he needed to get all his shit and go for his daughter. Sure, initially he didn't know where Chenney was but a series of evidence, along with Cindy, led him to the island--the map in Cooke's car was a huge help. Whether she was alive or dead, he wanted to make every little brown bastard pay in bullets. By the eleventh hour, it was judgement day.

11? I remember it was a 16 hours-long time run.

Jay, the stewardess tells Matrix that the plane arrives at Val Verde in EXACTLY 11 hours. By the time he got to Arius's fortress, the 11 hours was up, and Arius got the call that he wasn't on the plane. Once that was up, his island was already getting claymore'd into the stone age.

Fake Mustache speaks the truth
Matrix asks "How long is the flight?" and the stewardess says "We land in Val Verde in exactly eleven hours, sir". After he leaps from the plane into the marsh. he sets his Magical Beeping Watch to countdown from 11 hours. "16 hours" is not even mentioned in the movie at all.

My fault, friends, I had a bad memory attack.
I only say that John Matrix/Commando - by attacking Arius's mansion so vehemently - could have doomed Chenny's life, if she would haven't been so smart to escape from her room.

I think by that point, Strudel didn't care. They would have died whether she's alive, or dead.

I think by that point, Strudel didn't care. They would have died whether she's alive, or dead. Yeah, I understand it, but by viewers's perspective that TOTALLY invalidates the previous "countdown" (run for life) and could be seen as a flaw in the script.

The flaws in the script are part of what make Commando and similar movies so good. The fuck-ups and plot holes are quintessential to 80's action.
