When a sudden family crisis appears, party man Buck (John Candy) is called upon to help out with taking care of his brother's kids.
Buck haven't seen his brother's family in years and has no experience in babysitting, still he looks forward to meet them again. His positive attitude is soon about to be tested as the teenage daughter Tia (Jean Loisa Kelly) does her very best to make him feel "welcome", along with two kids and a dog.
But that is nothing compared to what Buck is about to cope with in the next couple of days. A horny next door lady, a drunken clown with great dildo jokes, a preachy principal, an enraged girlfriend and Tia's sneaky boyfriend Bug!
Now it's time for Buck to show off his streetwise skills and maybe even the odds out a little.

I love this one, John Candy was a great performer in serious and comedic roles. Definitely one of his best.

I miss John Candy and John Hughes. The two of them together did bring us some magic classics, and even though Planes, Trains and Automobiles is the better one, I have always felt Uncle Buck is the ultimate John Candy film.

Didn't get to know until recently that it was none other than Mike Starr as the dildo joke cracking clown. This guy reminded me somehow of Sully's hunting slash look in his eyes when trying to check up Tia in the bowling alley. Hilarious scene.

Probably my second favorite John Candy flick behind Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
