I'm the Bad Guy? How did that happen?D-Fens/William Foster (Michael Douglas) is an middle aged man who's on his way home, but when he gets stuck in a car jam, the heat, noise and stress makes our anti-hero see red.
He decides to leave his car and take only a briefcase with him.
D-Fens is a man who's already gone over the edge and now he only wants to get home to his ex wife and daughter.
But unfortunately he is about to learn that between him and his family stands an small army of stereotypical assholes who will do everything to make this an unforgettable explosive adventure for the citizens of Los Angeles. "Clear a path motherfuckers! I'M GOING HOME!"

I love this movie! Micheal Douglas is such as fucking great actor, the hamburger scene is terrific manages to balance terror and humor perfectly, still have no idea how the director went on to make Batman And Robin though.

Micheal Douglas is such as fucking great actor, the hamburger scene is terrific manages to balance terror and humor perfectly, still have no idea how the director went on to make Batman And Robin though. On one of the Scandinavian DVD's of Batman Forever or Batman & Robin, Joel did an interview where he talked about how he was told to cut down on the dark and violent side from Burton's films and lean more to wards a lighter side. I think Schumacher said something about the whole Batman franchise ended up like one big toy commercial. Still I rank Batman Forever as a pretty good super hero movie, and Batman & Robin is a fun time if one is looking for a laugh. The funny thing is when I get the chance and introduce Falling Down to some one who has never seen it before, they always wonder what the hell happened to Joel Schumacher.

Schumacher also directed The Lost Boys, which is a great flick.
Falling Down is awesome. Probably my favorite Michael Douglas flick ever.

I need to sit down and watch this one. I've always loved Michael Douglas but this one has always slipped through the cracks somehow.

In the Michael Douglas film One Night At McCool's (2001) there's a big shootout at the end and they throw in a obvious parody or tribute to D-Fens from Falling Down.
The soundtrack in Falling Down seems to be pretty hard tracking down, but I'm glad someone uploaded it on youtube.
If I'm about to have me a "Falling Down" moment on a hot summer day. I think I might go to the nearest local grocery, buy me an ice cold beer and cool down my face with a bottle before trashing the store and pay for the damages later, but only after telling the owner to take the prices back to the 1960's.
I would then go outside and await the cops at the pier, chilling with a cold beer in the hot sun and this tune playing in the background as I'm getting ready for a final showdown.

Was hoping that a "Think about it" 20th Anniversary edition with lots of bonus material would come out this year but I guess its more likely that a remake is happening.
