When bounty hunter Jack Walsh (Robert De Niro) is offered 100,000 to bring in Jonathan Mardukas (Charles Grodin) alive and well, he thinks its going to be easy cash.
Think again.
With an small army of gangsters and feds along with Jack's loudmouthed rival Marvin (John Ashton) right on their tail, its going to be quite an action packed adventure. This is how you make a great action comedy. Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin are hilarious together, and they do kind of remind me of a more explosive version of John Candy and Steve Martin in Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Defintely a underrated classic. De Niro and Grodin were a perfect team and all of the supporting cast were terrific as well. Shame it's not as talked about as it should be.

I agree. De Niro should also have gotten more praise for this film and maybe it would have led him to do more action comedies. Many great moments in Midnight Run, but this one always cracks me up. The litmus configuration!
