A lonely and disturbed cable guy raised on television just wants a new friend, but his target, a designer, rejects him, with bad consequences. Never seen this before today and much to surprise I really enjoyed it, It`s not your regular Jim Carrey comedy vehicle, it`s very dark and almost disturbing at times but delivers good laughs too. Jim Carrey predicts the future!

I wonder how different this movie would've been had Chris Farley not died?

When this came out in 96 it was quite a surprise when you think about the films Jim Carrey had done between 94-95.
This was a very dark but still funny/crazy film, and it tested the Carrey audience a bit. It seemed like half of the Carrey fans were liking it and the other half hated it.
I remember some old friends of mine who were huge Carrey fans, and they kind of felt "betrayed" and angry towards the film and especially the dark sides, but most of them would go on later and hail it as a classic.
As of today the biggest surprise for me is that its done by none other than Ben Stiller.
I haven't seen it in some time, but its a top 5 favorite, when it comes to the work of Jim Carrey.
