Of all the young Hollywood 'prettyboys' doing action movies, I'd say that Mark Wahlberg is by far the toughest. I enjoyed Shooter, especially for its man vs helicopter scenes. Four Brothers was somewhat decent and ol' Marky Mark was one tough bastard in The Departed. Matt Damon comes second for the Bourne movies which were somewhat okay but I don't know if he can make it happen in another unrelated film. This may be a controversial choice, I don't know this group well enough.... What do you think?

Will Smith will always be The Fresh Prince to me. I can't take him seriously at all. He'll always be the guy that makes fun of Uncle Phil & Carlton.

Will Smith is a gigantic bell-end. I've never liked him, even when he earned a living by mugging at the camera in sideways baseball caps and hi-tops. He has never been able to play it straight. I am Legend ( I am Bell-End) only serves as punctuation to the fact at this point. Also: Preposterous arsewipe who has done fuck all worthwhile except that time he grabbed Paul Gascoigne by the nads. Prematurely balding pap smear with a head like a constricted penis. The greatest trick the British ever pulled was to convince Americans that Jason Statham existed.

Jason Statham and The Rock are far from being as good as the silver age of action stars (Willis, Schwarzenegger, Stallone, etc) but I'd rather see Statham in an action role than Ben Affleck or Josh Hartnett. That being said, we need some more gaddamned variety, Statham is in everything!

I also enjoyed Con Air but it would have worked better with Swayze. He should have had redneck action parts all sewn up. Plus his accent would be more convincing. Cage was fine in The Rock as that irritating, whiny, Stanley Goodspeed. That part fit him like a glove.

I agree with all of these minus Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham. I thought Transporter and Crank were great fun. And Vinnie Jones could be good, he just needs to do something other than that shitty rip-off The Condemned. Having said that, I'll add another to the list: Steve Austin needs to go back to grabbing other guys and stay out of the action genre.

statham is ok i guess, i have to gripes about him. same with the rock although i think his movies suck more than his performances i think hes got potential if put in the right stuff. the rock > vin diesal by miles but i guess that isnt saying much.
i think everyone is in agreement about nic cage. he was infact the worst thing about Con Air, he was not convincing at all as a supposed former military badass redneck and was more likely just some chump who was someones bitch in jail . they shouldve just inserted Hard Target era Van Damme, changed the script to him being from Louisiana and we have ourselves an all time classic.

To be honest I disagree about your Nic Cage opinions. He may be alittle annoying, but I thought he was excellent in Face/Off.
He and Travolta were a perfect match in the film and those twin golden pistols were completely awesome.
