I'd like to dedicate this thread to the forgotten and often ignored heroes of action. The ones that come to my mind now are: Lorenzo Lamas (Renegade, Snake Eater, Bad Blood) Don "The Dragon" Wilson (Bloodfist, Cyber-Tracker, Red Sun Rising) Steve James (American Ninja, The Delta Force, Street Hunter) Jeff Speakman (The Perfect Weapon, Street Knight, The Expert) Brian Bosworth (Stone Cold, One Man's Justice, Back In Business) Sasha Mitchell (Kickboxer 2-4)

I`ll go with Don "The Dragon" Wilson, the Bloodfist films are great fun, granted I`ve seen 3 and there`s about 8 or 9.

Jeff Speakman and Gary Daniels are definitely in the top 10, maybe even top 5. Those guys had/have great potential, it just went unrecognized. Michael Beihn is definitely an underrated action hero; he kicked ass in The Terminator and The Rock, it's just a shame that he didn't have his day back then, as now he's doing movies in Hong Kong (like 'Dragon Force').

I never even thought Michael Beihn. He was also great in Aliens and Navy Seals. He also played a great villian in The Abyss.

Dammit, how could I forget his greatness in Aliens? I seem to remember more of Bill Paxton in that movie than Beihn, but probably because Hudson never shut his mouth

Yeah. I also believe Hudson is more memorable than Hicks cause of his lines. But Hicks is the ultimate bad-ass of the flick (next to Mrs. Weaver of course). He SLEEPS through the fucking drop ! "I like to keep this handy (cocks shotgun), for close encounters."

Michael Beihn is a great choice!.He kicked some serious ass in Aliens, and who could forget him in The Terminator. He was fucking awesome in The Rock too!.He should have been the leading man in that film.Nothing against Nic Cage, but he ain't no Beihn ;D I think Rutger Hauer is underrated as an Action star.He really should have made more classic action films like Blind Fury and Split Second.Just imagine him and Vernon Wells as two bi-curious soldiers, gunning down pissant soldiers like they were nothing!.Yes,Rutger should make more action movies.

Rutger Hauer is another excellent choice. I still need to see Wanted: Dead Or Alive, but it is now OOP, so it should be hard to find. And although it was a non-action role, it was excellent to see him in Batman Begins, back on the big screen.

What about Peter Weller? In real life, he's trained in kendo and karate and was the original and best RoboCop of them all. When he took the helmet off and went after Boddicker and his thugs, he looked a proper bad-ass! After playing Murphy, he did more action movies like Leviathan, Shakedown, Cat Chaser, Fifty/Fifty, Screamers and Rainbow Drive as well as acting in David Cronenberg's Naked Lunch. He was even in line for the Michael Douglas role in Basic Instinct! He should have returned to play Murphy in RoboCop 3 and it would have been even better if they had the same adult tone as the 1st one. Mr. Weller, we salute you!

Beside playing villains Rutger Hauer did some very good action-sci-fi movies in the late 80s and early 90s. I think Wanted: Dead Or Alive (1987) is Rutgers best action movie, along with Wedlock (1991) and Flesh + Blood (1985). I guess its not big news now, but to those who haven't seen this one. Do it, DO IT NOW!

What about Christopher Walken? Besides all his mafia roles he did a couple of action movies like McBain and the The Dogs of War.
Always liked him as Max Zorin in the underrated Bond film A View To A Kill.
