I love this sick little movie and I know I'm not alone. The opening scene is unforgettable. Ginty's investigation methods are impressive; I particularly like the scene where he hides in a bin in a men's toilets. The chicken house scene is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. Also, Christopher George cooks his hot dog with a light bulb. This film was a popular title on video, and even hit number one at the UK box office, proving that the rest of the country was once as hungry for this kind of brutal action as I am today.

Kimble this one`s amazing dude, it`s one of the coolest exploitation film`s out there.
The two thing`s I remember clearly are Christopher George setting a pedophile on fire and killing a dog. Sleazy to say the least.

As I recall, of all the vigilante films to follow Death Wish within ten years of the release of the book (1972) or film (1974), only the Exterminator produced an official sequel.

I really love Glickenhaus movie but I´m not particulary fond of the sequel. It could have been great but a silly love story, a lousy soundtrack and disappointing action set pieces makes Exterminator 2 a big dissapoinment.
But I still have both Exterminator movies on dvd, two copies of the first one (a swedish and a german region 2) and a german uncut edition of part 2.

I reckon Glickenhaus and Ginty should have teamed up again for the sequel. Like Exterminator 2, it could have been made in 1984. Maybe they could have had Eastland as a vigilante for hire who is enlisted by one mob to take care of another and he takes both of them out. That would have been awesome.
I recently got hold of a double-sided fold-out poster of The Exterminator as well as a mini-booklet about the movie.

I recently got hold of a double-sided fold-out poster of The Exterminator as well as a mini-booklet about the movie. I picked up the U.K Arrow Blu-Ray with poster revers able covers and booklet, also has some great features including a filming locations featurette showing the sleaze circuit of 42nd Street. Really interesting stuff. Looks great on Blu too

The Arrow Films blu-ray picture is excellent and to top it off, you have a very good and entertaining commentary from producer Mark Buntzman who also talks about Exterminator 2 and how he got round to making it and what his original ideas were for it. I only hope that one day, Arrow Films can also release the sequel with deleted footage included.

That Roger Bowling tune would have also suited the end credits.
