I'm going to be Thrashin' to Megadeeeeeaaaath on Tuesday. You should go Chenney, the setlist has plenty of classics. I'll be at the Academy on Tuesday with my big sis, Vest. Apparently this is 'Deths last ever tour now that Mustaine's contractual obligations are over. What do you folks think of Broderick? Can't say I'm too enthused about the guy, to be honest. It just feels like Mustaine thought "Fuck it, I'll score for one of those robotic neo-classical pricks who can chew through the back catalogue like a heavy metal player-piano" instead of finding an interesting player like a Poland or Friedman.

Friedman was one of those neo-classical pricks until he joined Megadeth... I like Broderick, he's certainly a hell of a lot better than Drover and he is a great jazz and classical player too. Though he is obviously a hired hand (as he was in Nevermore), I think if he can avoid being fired for a few albums he has the ability to come into his own and be held in the same regard as Marty is now.
Also, last nights 'deth setlist was
01. Sleepwalker 02. Take No Prisoners 03. Wake Up Dead 04. Skin O' My Teeth 05. Washington Is Next! 06. Kick The Chair 07. In My Darkest Hour 08. Hangar 18 09. Gears Of War 10. A Tout Le Monde 11. Tornado Of Souls 12. Ashes In Your Mouth 13. Never Walk Alone 14. Symphony Of Destruction 15. Trust 16. Mechanix --------------------- 17. Burnt Ice 18. Peace Sells --------------------- 19. Holy Wars
That looks better (thanks to Mechanix)
I'm also going to see Exodus in Glasgow in April. It's all about the thrash at the moment.

I just saw the new Children of Bodom video for the song "Blooddrunk". Aside from it being one of the dumbest names for a song outside of rap, it's a pretty good tune. Here's hoping that the album of the same shitty name will kick ass, which is more than I can say for In Flames. I think they took a massive shit after Soundtrack to Your Escape.

Megadeth last night, was amazin. They didn't play anything off Killing Is My Business in the end though. Evile had 'transport problems' and couldn't play so we were 'treated' to even more Job For A Cowbay, or at least it seemed like it, they played the exact same poser death-core bullshit song about 20 times in a row. The end of every song was met with a mixture of boos, occasional laughter and frustrated groans. Mustaine clearly had them on there to make Megadeth seem a lot better, and it worked. Chris Broderick was class, though he was still playing his 7-string... Surely Ibanez can stretch to a couple of free matching custom 6-strings for the lead guitarist in Megadeth?

blowjob for a shandyboy blew, literally
the "yer ma bought yer new rocks, yer ma bought yer new rocks, yer ma bought yer new rocks, cos yer gaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" chant was the highlight of their set
